Playing since 2016 (continously) and started in 2013 and I need to say the golden era of PoE seems to have passed. I am very disappointed with the direction you have taken with the game these past few leagues.
Harvest is basically dead, so it would be better to remove it from core, I will skip every single encounter this league as it seems not worth doing.
It feels like I'm watching my favorite pass-time die off.
I hope I'm very wrong and that the game finds a way to turn it around in the future.
Was also buying supporter packs for every single league, however stopped doing it as I feel that this is the on;y message that will talk to You.
I mostly like the Harvest changes in 3.19, but the lifeforce is off by at least a factor of 10. This isn't something that gets cleaned up by scaling it a bit higher in low tier maps.

I love the idea of normalizing loot across the base game and leagues, but when awful league mechanics (Heist) are still insanely overtuned because of the way their loot drops (dodging the nerfS), everyone feels like they have to play that instead of the base game. And forcing people into Heist is the best way to kill your game. But...

Base loot needs buffed. Before I started running Heist to complete the quest contracts, I had run out of alchs, which I almost exclusively used on maps. I couldn't sustain them. I then did a dozen or so Harvest contracts and then was sitting on 30+ alchs.

I'll say it until I'm blue in the face, you CAN'T have archnemesis HP multipliers AND Essence/etc. HP multipliers. They need to be additive so you don't end up with mobs with 100x more HP than the base rare. They already get stupid damage reduction modifiers from Archnemesis, as well, which is ANOTHER multiplier. If you're really hell-bent on multipliers, then they need to be sane levels, like 150-200%, not 500-1000%. Honestly, fixing this problem fixes just about everything else. So much of the problem with the game in its current state is league content gated behind idiotic archnemesis rares. I want to farm Essence to do some basic gear crafting, but I can't, because Essence rares — in white maps — have Archnemesis mods which give make them harder than some of the endgame bosses.

Your reddit post of this thread might end up holding the record for most downvoted GGG post. Congrats on becoming completely oblivious. We don't want hard mode, stop trying to make us play it.

This is not it. You guys have constantly talked about trying to cut back on player power while still making sure the game is fun to play.

Being overseas at the moment and barely able to play at league launch, I nonetheless hyped myself up for all the new stuff the league was teasing. When it turned out that barely any skills had been changed (arguably the only noticable changes have been nerfs to seismic, auras and corpse skills and buffs to soulrend, sunder and shock nova) I was somewhat disappointed but well that's fine, we have the changed uniques! Then the full list of changes came out and they were pretty good!

Well, now you can't find any uniques. What was the point? Why bother playing?

Then more information comes out and you find out harvest got completely gutted under the guise of removing filler crafts. You've heard everyone complaning about harvest so I won't write further, but just know that I extensively used it to make most of my items (and not even the high-end crafts!) and having them be 10-15 times harder to access was really the final nail in the coffin.

Today I booted up PoE on my laptop (which can barely run the game) and thought 'well I'll try to get some progress in so when I get home I'll be able to actually play', saw this post, read it and then closed the game. It's not even because I'm angry or I want to protest; there's nothing left for me. I loved this game because of all the cool build concepts and mechanics one could come up with. The skills have barely changed in 9 months. Low level crafting (harvest, buying cheap uniques and then divining them until they were useful) is now dead so now you have to grind 10-15x more to play the same build. There's no motivation left. No room for innovation.

Why bother any more? What's the point?
I honestly can’t believe it….. Revert the damn loot system. You think I want to kill a rare and get 100 blacksmith whetstones, oh how about one that drops me 30 silken hoods…… the loot system was fine. We all love this game and your slapping us in the face.
Color me disappointed. I've been around this game for a long, long time and this is the first league where I feel like accumulated annoyances are becoming too much to overcome.
Overall I like the changes, but it sucks that you quickly respond to streamer complaints (again) and not the rest of the community.

On a different note.. about the lake mechanics: you mentioned marking areas you completed in the lake and thats welcome. However there are things that affect gameplay satisfaction more than that, like:
- have the stash emerge with the tile, just having some bubble or another locked indication (like some Heist chests)
- clear paths and gaps so its not clunky to dash/jump around
- monsters that fall from the sky as you walk nearby, please make them already fall as you enter the tile (or increase the trigger range)
- have some indicator of what (or how much) is remaining before the chest in unlocked

Firstly, we are going to adjust the system that skews weapon/armour base types towards higher-level ones, so that players find items that are relevant for their level more often. This isn't an increase to overall item drops, it just means that you will find more appropriate rare items more often. Secondly, we are going to apply the same item consolidation approach we did to Act Bosses a few leagues ago to Map Bosses also. They will now drop fewer items, but of substantially better rarity. This will result in you finding more unique items from Map Bosses.

Oopsie. We intentionally changed the formula so sometimes content "bugs" out and you get literally no rewards at all.
