Errr... no.
this idea/Battlepass needs more adjustments to work well. And im not talking just about the price. the MTX are great, yes... but not everything else. Last edited by gronesoul#1314 on Feb 18, 2022, 8:51:26 AM

" I am against any form of battle passes in any game whatsoever. They are predatory monetization schemes relying on FOMO and that is pure BS. I don't want any of this in PoE... Path of Exile is a Casino for gambling addicts.
Gambling is not fun nor a game mechanic... |

Too expensive, make it $15 to even begin considering.
Thanks. |
|
" What? |
|
Got to squeeze every possible second of that playtime out of the players.
Why play for fun because game is fun. Thats hard. Add funpass to give players incentive. Because we cant make game fun to play. |
|
I like it. I dont see the problem.
Make it cheaper, then it is even better. |
|
i could see myself paying $10 for this... 30... no thanks
|
|
30$? lmao
i would maybe consider that for 10$. Also, what about the permanent skin transfers to use our race rewards? Builds : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1813247

At first I read this expecting a punchline, but it never came.
Cosmetics in this game have always largely been either pay for exactly what you want(often usable on many items/item types), or work for the free league challenge items. This is 30usd to then work for a handful of incredibly specific usage skins. It feels like an insult. It would have been less offensive and probably made more money to offer these skins piecemeal, or even include this extra set of cosmetics progression in the lowest tier of supporter pack. The implementation of this concept feels like the brainchild of a tonedeaf corporate overlord entirely removed from the actual game and community, and then it was both somehow greenlit and met no resistance. Where was the community dialogue in all this? Who was in charge of gauging the target audience? I've been playing this game since Act2 was all there was. I've seen it grow and improve steadily over the years, with a stumble now and then, but always the ship has right itself. Herein lies the dissonance. I cannot reconcile this with what I have come to know. Conceptually this feels like a malignant object lodged in an otherwise healthy body. I remain hopeful that the ship will once again right itself. |
