Introducing Kirac's Vault Pass

I don’t see why everyone is outraged, just don’t buy it? $30 package for meh targeted MTX but I’m not going to quit playing just because it’s a “battle pass”
I thought better of you GGG. I understand needing to make money but preying on FOMO is EVIL!

You can't pay to unlock rewards (other than the first one, which comes with the Pass). Everyone you see with one of the unique item skins from Kirac's Vault will have completed the bonus objectives required to earn it.
First and foremost, that's the opposite of why Battle Pass is on the field. It is carefully calculated to force players 8-11 hours a day in the game, and force them to pay multiple of the starting price by buying the days they didn't work off in the game. Without that, this predatory monetization tecnique won't bring GGG any notable income.

And yes, as if lootbox casino wasn't enough, GGG dips down another notch. Look at the sad histroy of Allods Online to see where this leads, preferably before going down yet another one.
Is it a red flag? Should i begin to worry about?
At least give us the points we're accustomed to when buying supporter packs.

Kind of a shitty move though to release what looks like great MTX for great items, but prey on the "Limited Availability" stress people get when seeing this.
Seems like a good first approach for a new way to collect money for the game, i have some ideas: how about instead of giving all the mtx in one shot, you split this in weekly rewards behind certain kind of challenges like, i dont know, "this week kill uber atziri with a tormented spirit", or things like that, this way you help the longevity of the league, keep the player's interest on your game, mess with the economy a little bit (hehe) and make some extra money (and this of course is closer to the definition of a battle pass)

Battle Pass has been done better by other games. Maybe look at how they work in other games before bringing it into PoE.

They know how it works in other games. You can't be a designer on such a massive game and not understand what a fair monetization model looks like.

Damn... That makes so much sense that I'm afraid it invalidates my previous posts because it implies GGG is not working with the best ethics. I want to assume it is plain ignorance, rather than being shady.

$30?

This should have been $10(or free) or designed a lot better. Would have rather of seen exclusive armor/weapon skins. Skill effects, stash tab skins, hideout decorations etc.
