endless ledge for 2-4 months would be silly, descent might be alright but would require tweaking on the drops.

You clearly are missing the entire point of this thread. Yes, many would want it to be permanent allocation so higher levels couldn't farm for you, but that isn't the main point. The main point is, we don't want to trade for our items; we want to find or craft them. And if permanent allocation goes against your play-style, then you are certainly not being forced to play the SFL and can play other leagues with different allocation times.

Well put, I would also add that SFL can still be SFL if certain steps are taken if players want to party still. To many restrictions make exiled Jack a dull boy.

I totally agree with you! Another interesting notion of the SFL would be (and I think it has been mentioned before in this thread) that the SFL doesn't just have to be a league, per se. That is, it could also be, if GGG felt comfortable with the idea, an offline mode. This isn't to say that one could play his/her offline characters online because that may allow hackers into the online portion of the game. I think the biggest benefit of the offline self-found mode (SFM)would be the lack of desync, which still plagues PoE despite GGG's best efforts.

I hate to say it, but I'll be taking a little break from PoE because I just dislike that I feel extremely pressured to buy my items. What's worse is I even get the feeling of stupidity if I try to craft any items below ilvl 55 (and on hardcore saying "I'll be fine..." doesn't go well). I'll probably come back here and there after open beta ends, but I don't think I'll stay for years to come if the SFL/SFM isn't initiated.

Lol I know what you mean about ''crafting'' items below 55, Phoenixdragon55. Offline mode would be interesting maybe if GGG offered a one time fee for a such a service would people go for it?
