OK then. I will register almost all of possible class names like "Necromancer, Rogue, Assassin, Wanderer, Monk, Warlock, Oracle, Hunter, Paladin, Knight, Dervish etc" and secure those won't be the names of 4th and 5th classes :D It will be a hard choice for you to name or rename 4th of 5th classes :P

DO IT. NOW! :o))

I can tell you the beta is still not out. I can also tell you the alpha client is still running v0.6.14

The Witch is in v7.0.0 which has not been deployed yet.

If you're not allowed to register one of those then that's a good indication that the devs have blocked it.

As far as I know we haven't blocked any names for the remaining classes because:
a) you could work it out by doing what you describe
b) we haven't finalised them yet

DataDataData
This is a bit of a long post but hopefully you'll find the data as interesting as I did.

First it's important to note that Chris was not lying when he said GGG did not make an account called 'Witch'. I checked. There isn't one.

Since I went through the trouble of coding up the macro and everything I figured I may as well go through and tabulate all the user account data. This data is current as of yesterday (Jan 5).

You can check out some graphs I made of the various data HERE.

The first graph shows the growth in accounts over time. It begins on September 2 when the game was announced. I tabulated 7100 accounts. You can see the huge growth during the period right after the announcement, followed by a slow down, and finally another large growth spurt around the time of the winter holidays. Impressively, GGG has averaged 56.8 new accounts per day.

The second graph shows a histogram of post totals. It tabulates how many accounts posted a given number of posts. You'll notice that only 0.83% of accounts have 10 or more posts while only 3.45% of accounts have posted anything at all. Another interesting fact is that 5670 accounts (or 80% of all accounts) have not even visited the forum since the day they were made. This is good news for those of us aiming to get into the early rounds of the beta.

The third graph shows when accounts last viewed the forum. The top graph shows the absolute number of accounts while the bottom graph shows an increasing percentage of accounts as the days go backward to the initial game announcement. You'll see that 27% of all accounts have viewed the forum in the past 2 weeks. That's 1921 separate accounts that have viewed the forum. Of those, 1273 accounts were new accounts made in the past 2 weeks. That leaves about 648 accounts that are repeat viewers. That's about 9.1% of all accounts have come back since they were made to view the forums. For every 1 person that actually posts on the forum, there are about 10 people that view the forum but don't post anything.

Finally, the last graph shows the time between each new account made. At worst there was over half a day between two accounts. As a relative average, new accounts were never more than 2 hours apart. Overall, the site has been getting a new account every 25.4 minutes on average. Currently, the site is getting a new account every 17.5 minutes on average.

tpapp157 the info wiz! Please don't make a graph of how many times I obsessively refresh these forums per day, it's embarrassing.

Great work. But there is one "Hmm moment":

5.670 + 1.921 = 7.591
