Going to try a variation on this which is based around AR/ES. + Ghost reaver, think itll have a little better survivability while also maxing power charges.. Will post the tree when I get back if anyones interested.

Nice =). Let me know how it is. I was planning to get ghost reaver on this build but.. I leaned towards more IIQ/IIR instead. Could always drop IIR and spend 4 points to get the ghost reaver. That really adds a ton of survivability for any ES. Thx for the post. Gonna put up a ghost reaver alternative here shortly.

You could always drop the Faster Casting, try to roll a RRRGGB Chest and get the IIQ.. IIR is imo easily obtainable through gear, whereas IIQ is much much more difficult to get above 100%. I certainly don't think its worthwhile to use two gem slots to fill that void. Another alternative might be to make a shock+Power charge on crit+Faster Casting+Spell totem to get you power charges, freeing up another armor gem. Assuming you can face tank at that point.

The spark with power charge on crit could be great. It really is left up to you on which supports you want to use and how to itemize but.. Right now with my current items and setup I pretty much 1 shot crit everything off screen or before they can even get to me. Temporal + skeleton totem gives me so much space. Faster projectiles is perfect for this type of setup to really avoid all damage. Can always put in different gems for more DPS but right now I very happy with my dps output and survivability. A few changes could definitely make things easier and kill faster but those all depend on how you want your character. I just am very hooked on the big IIQ IIR. Right now in some maps, filling my inventory 4-5 times solo.

I haven't tried out that spark + power charge + spell totem but do the charges go to you or the totem? If that works out, if you have life leech + ghost reaver you wouldn't need to use skeleton totem and that's an extra 7.5% crit or so. Could also just use a 2-3link to setup something with it, spark + fork + power charge on crit. Spark has a higher base crit so it will likely crit more often then EK.

how about bosses.. any single target dps to nuke them??

To be honest I just use EK for the bosses. Faster projectile is so much buff to EK alone and it doesn't cut down on it's damage so it still owns single target. Fork is super nice for the aoe and damage spread but faster projectile on alone with EK really shines. Bear trap is good for single target with added fire. You pretty much can just use your EK link for the single target. It crit's so hard and most wont have much phys resistance. Some bosses in maps are blowing up in 3-4 crits back to back, it's great. :)

If I get lucky enough for a higher map to drop I will maybe put up some videos to show how it works out. Stuck in the 69-70s atm.

Hi I'm having some severe mana issues with EK so far (lvl 35).. Gear listed below

Any suggestions to make the going easier till higher lvls? Been following the 49-pt skillplan of the build

Currently around 400 hp and 650 es

Ahoy! Checkin out your gear it doesn't look too bad. What might help is switching on faster projectile with EK and using EK + Faster proj + Mana leech for a 3link. I see you got hatred in your gloves, if you got that aura on that might be the problem on mana issues. Early on though EK is a bit costly but once mana leech gets a bit leveled it really helps out and returns back much more mana. Clarity is really helpful but you don't want to level it past 9 or around that area otherwise it takes too much mana. If you can a bit more spell damage might give back more mana in return from dealing more damage but.. It is hard to itemize sometimes at lower level.

i'm not using hatred just lvlling it nd some other gems for later use

thanks for the advice i'll try swapping out fire dmg for faster proj

actually when EK crits it clears screen fast but crit chance is still low for me (around 18%)
