[2.0] Simple & Cheap 2-Handed Axe/Sword Cyclone Build
Great build! Only switch faster attacks with multistrike. I'm with crap items and I kill Dominus in merci without problems. 10/10! :)

Since I'm already in the thread then I'll say that I unfortunately quit my 2h Cycloner. I got to level 90, maxed out the gear (crafted new boots, helm, gloves) and it got really boring. I really couldn't care about mapping for more levels, I did 100+ normal atziri runs so that got boring aswell. I really wanted to do uber atziri as I think I might have been able to do it, but I need a better computer to do that.
This build is great for solo play (few mistakes in the tree by OP but you can figure them out). I would recommend it to anyone who wants to play a tanky life based character able to do all map mods. Gear before quit and sell:

Hi there, have started using this build and as I near level 30 I was wondering....at what point does the use of cyclone/BM/LGOH become comfortable to the point where you can spam it? If I happen to hit a pack of mobs with less than 4 in the group, I'm left at half life. This is my first exposure to cyclone and really have no idea what to expect as far as play style. =)

" At level 30 your hp is low and cyclone will eat it up like you described. I'd stick with double strike personally (I used to be a 2 hander). I think you'd have to wait until level 60+, at that point you'll have a sufficient health pool, plenty of melee nodes and a strong enough weapon (400+ pdps) to make use of leech. But even then, when I was lvl 70 and had a 505pdps sword, 4% life leech and LGoH, cyclone was scary and I always looked at my hp nervously. So many strikes within one breath.
But only one strike needed, for certain death. |

" Thanks for the insight! Part of what lured me into this build was the idea of being able to use it with impunity. Just have to bide my time and grind out some levels it seems! |
|
" That's because more attack speed means more life gain on hit per second :) (and more chance to blind if you use this support gem) " Yeah I tried Multistrike too and had huge desync issues...and it lowers your control over Cyclone because of the automatic targeting. " It is true that there are much less boring skills than Cyclone :p Personally I've not touched my cycloner since months because I love to try new builds, but I know I'll come back to it one day ^^ " I don't remember exactly when I started to use Cyclone but it was before getting to Cruel. You sure need to have enough life regeneration and maybe the Faster Attacks support gem to be able to use Cyclone without getting your life into trouble. Also if I'm not mistaken I remember I took the Blood Magic keystone until I was able to find the support gem. With it I could use Cyclone without the 240% mana multiplier, which greatly helped not to die using the skill ! |
|
" BM the gem or BM the passive? I used BM the passive ~30 with LOH and faster attacks and did not have any issues, except for maybe when I'd get desync issues. I only started using the gem when I finally gave up BM passive, i think it was 60+. IMO, you don't need the auras (mana back) until Merc act 3 anyways. I think I was almost finish with act 3 merc when I finally made the switch. |

Just wanna say thanks for this build! I am currently level 66 which is the farthest ive ever been, but I'm kinda stuck. I can run piety but it isn't consistent, sometimes I dont die and sometimes I can die 2 times in one run. This is my current gear, any tips would be greaty appreciated!
