Thanks for creating this thread. I appreciate what you're trying to do here, but on the other hand I would like to point out that perhaps the eligibility for booty should not related to a date in the database? Wouldn't you agree that it would be more "fair" (if such a game of luck such as getting a beta invite can ever be fair) to actually award those with beta keys who put more effort into making this community a better place.

I got this idea by randomly just clicking on one of those 2010/2011 members and saw that he/she had just made one post.

Again, I'm not saying that "I am right" and "you are wrong", I just saw that some people are trying to put alot more effort into this community. For example in this very same subforum, some lad was giving away 2 beta keys.

In my eyes little things like that, competitions, fun games etc are worth more than dates.

Well I see your point of course but I simply cant do that. Even if I had the ability to test who should get a key and who deserves it more, It would be difficult for me to easily explain it to others as well as manage new additions to the list.

Since this list is for 'old' members, it makes it logical that I have sorted them by date that the account was created. This has the added benefit of being easy to understand and easy to prove. No one can lie about why they deserve a key more than someone else under this system.

I should also mention that people do not necessarily give keys to the person at the top of the list. It is up to the person giving away the key to choose who they want to give it to. People can (and have) gone through the whole list to choose who they think deserves a key (based on their own criteria). Linking to the accounts makes this easier for people.

Ultimately it comes down to the time I have to spend to update the list. Under this system adding someone to the list in the correct order takes 1-5 mins & 0% chance of false information (time doesn't change for adding multiple people). Under a different system I would have to read multiple posts and then at some point make some kind of arbitrary decision which may or may not be based on factual information. This would be rather time consuming
