FYI ... I actually do some research in to the players that get my keys.

How long have they been waiting ... Are they posting in the forums ... what sorts of things are they posting (are they active or just trolling / begging) ... when was the last time they visited.

Some people in this thread missed out on my keys because they fail one of my checks above.

Simple answer ... be active in the forums & actually show an interest in the game ... not just list your name & hope.

I can see your point in that sir , but i hope you do not mind this one question , how is one supposed to post anything game related without having experienced the game... sure i could go into theory crafting (haha i remember those times in diablo2 , 13years of pure mathematic theory crafting).

but that wouldn't feel right since i'd consider it spamming.. i'd rather leave it to the guys who have the experience with the game and notice the differences in builds by playing them.

Aswell as it is too bad you can't see how often a person has already logged on(for me its like twice a week now since so much time has passed).

I don't think you can really judge people here unless you relate to posts as "i think skill x/y is too strong even though i havent ever had the chance to use it/there should be more maps/class x/y is overpowered because i saw a video on youtube".

I'd simply consider those as spam and rather keep my postcount low and post things i have an actual idea of.

Oh and by the way, thanks to everyone who has been handing out keys, it is very much appreciated :)

I don't think he is referring directly to discussion about the game content. People can show an interest by simply being involved in any number of off-topic discussions. It shows that you are regularly on the forums and it also shows how you are interacting with the PoE community.

On the other hand, there have been opportunities for everyone to experience the game during the stress test weekends. I believe there have been 2, possibly 3 at this stage. Accounts created in 2011 would have received emails about each of them a week in advance. I understand that some people may be busy etc and can't play, but finding 1 hour out of 9-10days is enough to form a basic idea of PoE and formulate an opinion on it. :)

Illysio_Nightstar can apply whatever criteria he likes; I just think it's great that he's joined the ranks of those who get a kick outta giving away keys. Forum activity can be a consideration, simply because we have list members who have been offered keys, yet never responded to the PMs (in such cases, I recommend PM'ing Samantha, our CM, to request she send an external email to the person to inform them that there is a key waiting for them).

At this stage, I'd have to either upgrade to Gold (not likely, for a number of reasons), or buy another Bronze Supporter pack, to get more keys. I think my days of key-giving may be over, so it tickles me to see other folks taking up the mantle. =^[.]^=

Metronomy updated the "post 1" list yesterday (15th), so it's fairly up to date.

Well duh. If I just looked at the last edited tag on the post I could have figured it out for myself.

It says you're 4th, but you're the only one out of the top 4 that have actually posted something other than a request for a key.

Plus you made me look derpy by pointing out the obvious so you get the key I have. Check your PM and enjoy the game man!
