Towns need more atmosphere

Dirty kids shivering... it happens all over 3rd world countries I think it's time a game brought this issue to light.
I love virtual brutality so save it for the Mobs...
Just as long as they're not annoying and don't have peg legs.
NotSorry: Bot d3 for cash, play POE all day

CaptainBurns: The game is just a means by which to kill things.
No the ones in worse health and physical capability should be being buried by the surviving children who are forsaken by their parents due to insanity, you have to bring them back their mother's necklace to let them know she died horribly for abandoning them.

I guess the Diablo reference went over your head.

But that'd be perfect..

Kid: "Please go and save my mother. I'll give you a rare necklace if you do."

[later]

Player: "Bad news, kiddo- your mother died screaming. Wanna know how I know? Because I just killed her. With the pustules bursting squids out of her back and the fireballs coming out of her face, I kind of had to. Now give me that necklace, and it better not have any weak mods either."

Writ... that bastard... and you forgot the "or else" at the end of your last post.

Yeah I want more of a brutal surreal but realistic experience from this game.

Agree with OP, the towns could definitely use more breathing space and liveliness, it feels dead as it is. The npc voices, the music, the whether effects really made it come to life in D2.
i would like a secret (not extrem secret ;) ) WP to a really big Black Market where everybody know "The best trades are in the Black market" :D

I did expect Act 2 to have a bigger town that what it is now when I first entered it. The size of Act 1 didn't really bother me, I guess I just expected the size to grow a bit.

I can remember walking into Malah's home in Act 5 of D2 from time to time, just cause I liked the way it looked in there.

I am a poor freezingly cold soul
So far from where
I intended to go
Act 3 should have a bigger town / place where people and vendors gather, it would be a nice break from the 3 NPC's at a time per act.

It doesn't need to be huge, but it'd be a nice break imo.
Happy Days Abound.
Years ago, I played LOTRO. The size of the towns and the amount of running between npc's and storage was a GIGANTIC, insulting, waste of time.

I cannot stand wasting extra time just running around in town.

A slight adjustment to the towns to make them feel less claustraphobic would be good. They are very tight :/

As well as removing physical obstacles that are right in front of the NPC. (act 2 town) That is highly annoying.

I agree also, that they could use a few more interesting things to look at or interact with :)
