There are multiple instances, but they are open to the public. Each instance can have a maximum of 12 people. You can form a party of 6 people if you want to.

You can choose whose instance you want to invade by using the instance manager. If you ctrl+click an entrance (or waypoint selection) to an area, you will get a list of the available instances and who is currently in them.

Awesome Chris, can't make today, but would be very keen to participate in tomorrows and formulate some feedback for you.
