Information On "Light Radius"

It would be great if area of sight is around 120 or 150 deg. It would add to drama. Also it would be good that player have option between carrying a shield or torch. And light radius should be smaller but not in the way of seeing where you going but as a handicap for range attackers cause outline of the monsters would come at a closer range.

It was just an idea. I also wouldnt want it to affect items/characters, but, instead, get larger as you level. The reason I started this thread, is when I was watching a video with a Ranger in a cave instance. She was standing right on the edge of the radius and it was just the monster, was pretty close to the character, before it was noticed and killed. I suppose, yes it does add to the feel, and also it doesn't matter too much when your in daylight (or not a cave), so might just be a minor thing. miasma, is pretty close to what Im on about, with Ranged classes. I'd have to play it myself as a Ranged class to find out I suppose. Again though, thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
