European payment methods

I'm from Italy. Paypal is available but it's very annoying. I always try to avoid it and with me many people I know. I'd like to pay directly with the credit card circuit, e.g "Verified by Visa" or analogue MasterCard circuit. Considering the free-to-play model you intend to use, it's also important to give lots of choice to willing payers.

We wouldn't remove the existing options for EU players, and we would probably still use USD as the currency unless we have a compelling reason not to, such as the payment method not supporting it.

If we did use a non-USD currency, we would attempt to cost the non-USD prices as close as possible to the USD ones.

We have just heard a lot of complaints from people wanting a payment option more friendly to those without credit cards, and would like to find out where the best use of our time would be.

Good Guy Grinding Gear Games.
Like to support the game and get that early beta how ever short it may be atm. Could make a paypal account, but I am not happy with the security features at all to comfortably use it. I am still taking a look into the electronic debiting, but at first sight I am not pleased with the simple e-mail + password for access. The latter is mostly because I am used to ideal, which is a Dutch online payment system where you pay with your bankcard.

So you actually need to have your card, the system to make a payment is not stored on your computer and it is directly linked to and supported by your own bank. iDeal has 10 million dutch consumers linked to it and it is linked to SEPA (single europe payment area (pretty much entire European market)).

Many of the websites mentioned here take in an extra fee and are just a collection of these systems and the fee they charge is a fee upon a fee, for more information on how to obtain or know who are licence carriers to contact visit:
http://www.ideal.nl/acceptant/?s=hoe&lang=eng-GB

It would cut out 1 middle man for cheaper rates, but many of these license holders are still quite local (dutch, europe) which means you might miss out other EU countries etc. etc. (you get the point).
Make an SMS option and lots of kids will give u their parents money xD
My vote would definitely go for paysafecard. Also SmS for the forementioned "parents money":D

A paysafecard option is in the works. It's however, unclear if it'll be implemented before OB hits.

So, if you want a Closed Beta Supporter Pack reserved for purchase with paysafgecard, please contact Support (upper left corner of the forums, or via mail to support@grindinggear.com) with information about which Pack you want to reserve.

Got to say this about paypal,

4 to 6 days for the money transfer... while since day 1 the money is there off my bankaccount and on the paypal account (at day 4.5 now). This system feels like stepping back 10 yrs in time in online shopping. I guess they need to hold it a bit to make the money, but I rather pay a transfer fee. Definitely hope for more accessible payment/ service options and more secure, big chance I close the account after this payment.

Yesterday evening bought some Christmas gifts online at 21:00 in less than 24 hours they arrive at my home payed and all <- what I am used too ;)

Anyways I worry that my Kiwi will die from starvation before I can feed it, pls devs take good care of it ;)

I'm from South East Asia and I would support the game if there was a MOL (money online) payment option.
PaySafeCard all the way!
Well paypal is the worst experience ever, 6 work days passed (money of my bank account since last week friday). Today is the first day that the status is actually changed to: sending money to GGG... <- how long can this take? Every single other transaction I did was executed in 1 day, but somehow paypal hogs this money f o r e v e r.

I send a message to customer support no reply... is it normal for the debit transaction, by paypal, to take this long? I read in this thread that it is quite fast, but not my experience.
