@NSUCK
Can you tell me how does it compare damage wise, skeleton gem level isn't that much important as HoA is right? Lvl 25 is easy to achieve and 29 is a bit tougher without gear investment.
You'd have to run PoB to see the difference. Play wise the damage is insane, bosses die pretty quickly (I almost never have my vaal skeletons gone by the time a boss is gone). Metamorphs in t16 die in 3 seconds typically. Some nasty ones can last to maybe 10 seconds.

Hi all Guardians ! I found that we can do summon skelly variant of those build. Can anyone summ up general differences of terms how the play will change ? Like clear boss dps the survi. ?
It really comes down to if you like skeletons or not. I've had a lot of people message me asking questions about skeles because they either hate HaO or hate casting ball lightning.
Personally I enjoy the skeleton play style. Its a 1 button cast, you just run and cast skeletons as if they were a nova (they spread out and splash damage packs). I pretty much run and cast them left, right, center (depending on mob location), and keep going.
I believe the skele build allows you to be a bit more tanky because you can take vaal discipline (19-20k es non watchers eye 23-25k es with eye).
That being said, some of the other guys in here have also ran skeles and ran into issues. They have had their skeletons die fighting metamorphs (which feels rare to me, but maybe level 30 skeles makes a big diff).
Personally I have not had any issues with any content thus far. I'm nearing level 98 and may make this my first build to go to 100. It is the best all around build I have ever played (I've played some other very strong ones including a 200ex HoWA Jugg). I wish my internet didn't lag or I can get a good lag free night to record some game play because I 100% feel like my clear / boss DPS is very similar to the high end HoA videos I've seen here.
Keep in mind others experiences though, I'd hate to give it a glowing endorsement and have someone spend 20ex and a day collecting gear to be underwhelmed.
I have been reading Necromancer skeleton build guides lol to try to squeeze out more damage. A fellow guardian is also leading HC delve ladder with skeletons and 27K energy shield.
I think brutality/impale/pride/dread banner/flesh and stone blood stance will definitely beat hatred/generosity/elemental equilibrium.
3R/1G/2B with +2 duration or +2 vaal is way cheaper than corrupted Herald of Agony color, should get us into 800k per skeleton category. Carnage chieftain x 4 and 4 link zombie to further buff skeleton damage and improve clearing speed.
I am curious if you can get comparable bossing time as CTSabba. His 3 minute level 8 Sirus, 2 minute Uber Elder on the updated video section, will completely change the perception of what a tanky build can do. I have yet to see any 3.9 video beat this meaningfully.
It is driving me crazy that my POB damage with skeleton is higher, but Herald of Agony kills even single target bosses faster. I almost suspect tail spike is not a single hit, but rather a shotgun like move.
Will test the pride variant. I would love to provide bored players a brand new they can try with more than 80% of their gear/tree intact. I wasn't happy with my previous skeleton variants.

For those wondering about HOA vs Skellies, here's some thoughts from someone who hit lvl 31 HOA with +2 amulet and could've hit lvl 32 if i bothered to spend just some more ex :D
Skellies are instant ramp up on damage, the play style is a little bit more lazy because you don't need to sustain virulence as you do with HOA, so you can focus on dodging instead. You also don't reserve mana because it's a spell and not a herald, opening you up to a 35% aura like discipline for more survivability. There's also the vaal part of vaal skellies which absolutely wrecks stuff, vaal part of vaal discipline which is a huge defense buff. I dropped convocation because i can just summon the skeleton wherever I want them.
I run my skellies with 1g3r2b at the moment with swapping multistrike with melee splash for boss fights/mapping. When mapping, i do so much damage there's actually no point in switching to multistrike from melee splash. running multistrike only and no splash is also ok, but sometimes annoying when you get those totems that won't let anything die.
I wish we could just do everything in POB but playing the builds are the best way to figure out what fits you best. when there's something annoying you about your build, think about how to fix it! I had durability problems with my skeletons so I invested a bit more into minion life / resists. I do so much damage there's no point in casting vuln on anything but big bosses because my skeleton one-hit most t16 packs.
As for hatred vs pride skellies, I am not sure where I stand on this one. I will keep playing the pride version more. with hatred i was running 4r2b (no impale) which allowed me to multistrike AND splash with melee physical and empower leading to less management and faster mapping

SO I have been playing with a cyclone variation of the build and trying out different items and such. Ill link you my POB and let me know what ya think, but I was playing around with Bane and Projectile weakness for a while and loved it, it would delete packs and destroy bosses. Uber and Sirus the only things I have none done yet, but t16 blight maps juiced t16 maps and all that jazz i clear fine and I dont have issues reflect maps due to shield. I rarely see my ES go down with the shield. I run 3 MGs as spectres, I have been exploring using different gloves, I KNOW we LOSE a lot from them, but adding poison and faster attacks to gloves to see any difference. https://pastebin.com/VSXjd9uc

I do love the lazy playstyle aspect of skeles. If I want I can just do 1 button a whole map. The only extra buttons I push are flame dash and flasks. For bosses I hit vaal molten shell and vaal skeletons. Vaal discipline is your 'break glass in case of emergency' button, it is highly underrated IMO (works great for degen too).

Thanks for the great build. I reached delve 1200 with a slightly modified mana guardian.
I am using a cyclopean coil belt to get immunity of igniting and shock, and 2r/2b/2g body armor to use deathmark, which is quite useful to target a dangerous monster in delve (like the one that shoots a cone of electric waves).
And using spider aspect instead of skitter bot.
DPS is about 8.7M and ES is 14500.

Herald of Agony is not a clear speed build, people should realize this and read on the guide before committing to the build, its a slower super tanky build that when built and played properly can almost never die

So good to see you here! Can't wait to see your eventual ceiling this league! With nerf to juggernaut, I an confident we will beat anyone other than 1HP 200 energy shield glass cannons.
Will add the videos as soon as I get home. It is crazy you are resist capped with two Circle of Nostalgia's. Also just curious if you tried flesh and stone sand stance (gives us a raider like defense) and/or skitter bot in delve. Feels like with your set up you can squeeze in way more auras.
How is your personal durability and spectre durability at that depth? Any tips for delving at that depth will be greatly appreciated.

I think 2 minute uber elder / 3 minute Sirius both awakening level 8 puts us in the top DPS categoey.
Budget gear is of course a lot lower damage.
