Hall Of Grandmasters: how tf are you supposed to complete this map?!
This is the most beyond stupid thing I’ve encountered in this game thus far. Can down Shaper in a matter of seconds, but going into this map there are things literally unkillable. Even using a frost bomb to drop regen did nothing. Not to mention getting one-shot at 10k EHP on some of these packs with absurd dps.
How are you supposed to complete this map? I’ve only got this map and 4 others for 100% map completion and I don’t see how this is even possible. Last bumped on Oct 19, 2019, 4:43:19 AM

I use a scorching ray blocker for hogm. I guess a good RF build would work too or you simply use volatile dead.

There are some guys in there with uber regen so you need a way to shut it down. I haven't bothered to do it after a couple of experiments, but there are some posts around with a lot of specifics. Definitely some from the last six months or so.

" … and that´s problem with the game. The map just shows how imbalanced the game becomes. It´s PvP based map and you need to deal with all OP mechanics players can abuse in the game. You have came across some Block build probably using legacy Aegis Aurora shield (or eventually life or hybrid version not sure about new GMs) They will refill portion of their ES (based on total armour rating they have) every time they block your hit (or whatever hit; rapid fire with lower damage such as barrage will heal them endlessly) + normal recharging / regenerating ES Frostbomb helps with regen etc (not with on block mechanic) You need either some DoT skill (dot can´t be blocked) such as Scorching ray (not chaos DoT bcos some of them are CI; probably bleed immune too) Getting Balefire with gems should be enough without passives https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Balefire or BCR gem (on your hit setup) https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Block_Chance_Reduction_Support You need also to deal with ailments (bleed, freeze, shock, ignite, poison); curse and special debuffs such as Elemental Equilibrium that can reduce your elemental resistances even more. The easiest way is deleting these Exiles from distance (they have low life mostly) Btw curses (temp chains / slow debuffs are very helpful. Some of them (i.e. Danzig -- LA guy) are glasscanons with crap load of damage Having crit reduction (mitigation) might help if you need to go closer and/or being fast, using phase run etc What build are you playing? The only time I finish this map is with worms blaster 3 build.

I managed to beat the first wing, but the second stonewalled me. " The arc trap route looks promising. I assume this works because traps don’t “hit” because they’re “triggered”? Also, in the first vid, he uses Scorching Ray on one of the enemies; is this something I’m still going to have to account for (needing to use SR) if I go with a Saboteur arc trap build with all the recent buffs?
