Im in very start now and have some problems with bosses - they are too fat for me.

I fooled around with some other skills, barrage/barrage support still performs the best for single target.

The best way to scale damage is from our weapon, Early death bow with high crit base will make HoI much more often. we will also almost always chill out enemies, sometimes even freeze lower hp bosses.

that is just from my testing if there are any better alternatives let me know.

Been leveling this build. it's a slog. i do 0 single target damage. very squishy, even rushing the HP nodes. yeah my gear is bad, its the 1st day of the league but this is the worst leveling experience I've had in a long long time. maybe it's my gem links or something but stuck on cruel Izaro because I just tickle him the whole time.

It’s the new reworked early bosses. They now all have what feels like 5 times more hp. Act 5 kitava feels easier than Merveil

While levelling, your links should be as follows:
Ice shot - LMP - onslaught - Ice Bite
Barrage - Elemental damage with attacks - added cold - hypothermia/ cold pen
Ice Shot - Barrage support - elemental damage with attacks - added cold
Shrapnel Ballista - LMP - Culling strike - faster attacks

how do we generate frenzy charges now that you got rid of the claw nodes? am i missing something?

Frenzy has nothing to do with claw node.

Claw node is not gone, just not there while you level
