Thank you, can you explain how it works? I rolled a 5 Link, still have to roll the links and colours. How will t he 5 link bevome a 6 link?


The tidebreaker has following line:

"
Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 20 Endurance Charge on Melee Stun
.

This means, that if you put your slam skill (ground slam, sunder, whatever) into tidebreaker, it automatically is "linked" with Endurance Charge on Melee Stun for free. By having 5 linked sockets you can put in slam skill and 4 supports, then you also get the aforementioned 5th support from the weapon so it's kinda 6-link.

as tehkin explained, tidebreaker has an innate mode (supported gems by endurance charge on stun)

this means, any gem put into there will get this support

you put slam + 5 links supports into this item, and it is a 6 link slam (as endurance charge on stun gives MORE dmg etc per endurance charge)

its what makes this build very strong as starter, 5 link tidebreak is trivial to get in a trade league
Ah okay, now I got it. Which Gem from the build description should I take out until I have a 6 Link Tidebreaker?

You should consider updating your initial post with the changes e.g. to the warcries and the reservation mastery. Additionally there are no rapid expansion jewels anymore.

whichever you prefer, i recommend trying them all and seeing whichj suits your current gear, attack speed, dmg etc

i agree, the guide is in need of much of a rework but unfortunately its alot of time and im considering discontinuing the guide

Trivial? There is only ONE up on sale right now in the entire league, and it's 75c.

I just finished leveling up to maps with this build and I'm not impressed... melee feels awful to play. No dirt intended for the guide, it's very well written, but man what am I supposed to do now? Suffer with a 4l tidebreaker for days until I can afford a 5l I guess.
I got a deal on a 6S Tidebreaker for only 3C, was able to luckly get 5 links on it myself. Happy enough with that for now. I'm new to the game as a whole, but tried this build end of last season and like it, but this time around I am using sunder, I like it's range a LOT.
I will say after reading the guide and comments several times, I found there are some points that can be fine tuned out, since some of the stuff like the jewel clusters with specific skills are no longer needed as you can get fortitude hits from the skill tree (along with war cry mastery giving rage etc).

Can you give me any tips on how to progress with my build? What I know that can be better is the quality of gems and buy awakened ones as well.

What else should I chase? I saw the options for body armour in the guide but they all seem unapropriate for the build, always a stat that's not worth to pick.

You should 4 link your Tidebreaker and move your slam skill to the weapon. Or swap out one of your support gems for endurance charge on melee stun.

You get a significant (up to 60%) raw damage boost from generating endurance charges due to the 10% physical damage per endurance charge stat on the weapon. The reason this build requires Tidebreaker is specifically because of the way it acts to generate and benefit from endurance charges. If you aren't using Tidebreaker for your main slam skill, you are cutting yourself off at the knees on this build.
