Shadux’s Ranger Dual Wield Ele Cleave (Kripp's Ele Cleave Variation)
Any thoughts on a CI variation? I know it's probably completely different, and not as viable, but i'm sick of stacking health on every character I make, but i still love the ranger, cuz its sexy....
I can see now, that I probably don't have enough defensive nodes, and it takes too long before the buid even starts to take shape, but do you have any ideas that may improve the build? or do you think its simply not viable? IGN: DeHuulk

I understand what you mean about wanting to try out a variation which was kinda why i went ranger melee just to change things up, but yeah i would have to agree with your build lacking a bit more defense, ESPECIALLY while leveling. your going to have a really hard time leveling unless you constantly are grabbing top end gear for your level range.

This build/guide is still up to date, I am currently lvl 79 if anyone is still interested.

A little more details on specific quest gems etc. and how to deal with elemental reflects would be really nice.

Hell, a nice build i see here, but i have some troubles while leveling.
Now i'm making a ranger with this build and find it rather hard to start cruel difficulty. Due to nice evasion and many hp soloing bosses in normal was rather easy, but passing lunaris with my pathetic 220 dps on cleave was rather long. All the usual monsters go down from like ~3 hits... Champs take 6 and more :( And it's obvious because until i get to the templar tree i have only 3 ele nodes near to ranger tree and then its dex-dex-str-str-str...... nodes for next 20-25 levels. Also i had to take one +30int node to run hatred aura with at least some mana left. I probably should find some good gear and stuff, its just that i dont want to spend orbs onto levels that i will pass in next 3-4 hours. And as the logic says, the further will be just worse and worse because i'm just reaching RT keystone and have 7-10 levels only taking attribute nodes til i get to the templar tree. I didnt take iron reflexes and unwavering stance so far, because i feel good enough with 50% evasion chance, but what's about blood magic? I have 667 hp right now, should i take it right now? Dont think so until i get to marauder's troll blood, but hence i will get to the templar tree even later. :( That's it about my efforts leveling so far. Btw i can't find you ingame using your IGN :\ It always says that such character doesnt exist. :( edit: suppose its because youre in hc league and i'm not. I'm currently building a variant on this in Anarchy. Will post a build once I have fully mapped it out. Not used to being able to take Iron Reflexes so early, nice having so much early armour, plus makes gearing easy when self found - evasion, armour or hybrid are all good.
Am picking up movement speed nodes early too - will probably re-spec out once I have decent boots but again makes early levelling much more pleasant. I am only use to building cleavers from Templar starts - not worrying about dex for swords is great, plus decent hit rate but I am missing not having the AOE nodes, and am guessing lower life will hit me at some point in cruel, but so far I am liking the change. Idea is to have a decent crit chance (Twin terrors etc), and not take resolute technique. Should be able to proc plenty of elemental effects. Also take most of the dual wield block nodes for a bit more survivability. I realise I will probably die a fair bit, and no idea what to do about reflect, but should be a fun and quick character for runs to gear further characters. | |
Hey guys. sorry for not responding I took a break from PoE but i'm currently catching up on all the changes and getting a feel for things again. I was messing around with my build on HC and it still feels solid but gotta check out if there are better routes to take now with the free reset.
