I sent an email to support to ask if I can upgrade my early access pack to a kiwi pack. I want the kiwi now, but dont want to pay for the full pack on top of what I already spent :(

It would be nice if it actually had some sort of bonus like exp gain or something. I probably would have spent double my money if that was the case but sadly it does nothing (and I liked the look of bronze over silver edition).

Putting bonuses on it would go against the beta manifesto though, they arent going to be selling in game advantages for cash.
One idea I had which isnt really too big a deal is to give the kiwi a mere 2x2 square inventory space, where you can stash your town portal and identify scrolls, plus a couple of other single slot items. One of the reasons GGG is so cool is because they don't want to give certain players advantages over others. People like the kiwis even without them being able to attack stuff or give more experience.
I personally like the Silver look the best, though Bronze is very nice too. But $50 was unfortunately not in my budget for such things, and the $25 one, while more affordable, is still a stretch when you're a po as I am, hehe. I would have done it if the kiwi looked like a Bronze one, or something along that line, but the plain one was just too plain to be worth it IMO. It was either bronze or nothing, and so I decided to hold out ... ... for FIRECATS!!!! :D LOL, I'm sure I'll make a post about this before too long. I keep rallying people to the cause in the game, explaining the idea and how awesome they would be, and now several of us really want firecats. :) Invited to Beta 2012-03-18 / Supporter since 2012-04-08

I'm not sure if different kiwis collect coins differently.. but If you click on your kiwi you will see the gold pouch thing.. Every 100 coins/gold collected by the kiwi you gain 1 store credit. I keep my pet out constantly and yesterday after about 5 hours I had 31 coins in the pouch.
I don't think there is a way to extract the coins into credits until you reach 100. Other than this, I don't think kiwis do anything. :EDIT: Oh and they wont collect coins in towns, only when you are out questing.
