[3.9] Dual-wield Ahn's Might Cyclone Slayer | Off Meta | League Starter | Endgame | All Content |
I'm having a hard time with Mana with this build. PS4 player and I'm in act 6 lvl 54 and I still don't have Dread Banner activated. If I activate it I don't have enough Mana to cyclone. Am I missing something that is holding me back?
Slotted in a 6L Wall of Brambles (2400+ Armor) chest and got a massive boost to survivabilty and output DPS. Still trying to balance my resists to slot in a perseverance, that will boost dps even further thanks to perma onslaught. Running with 5k life atm, still have a few life nodes to pick up though.
The build is extremely strong at almost all content, HOWEVER, I'd just say that it REALLY helps to have a health flask in Metamorph. Some of the bugs and clunky mechanics and sudden lags can really hurt, not to mention the poison debuffs which (for one of the region bosses) can kill you really quick while you are trying to get to someone to hit and thus leech from.
Thanks to the OP for an excellent guide, there is a lot of space to fiddle around to make the build to your liking - and thats a wonderful advantage of this guide, there are very few mandatory pieces.
This is a wonderful build for most content, for the rest, increasing your life will definitely help a lot. Its not as tanky as a Jugg obviously, but does a really decent amount of damage. I still have to find a few of the trials for the uber lab, and I know the build will really shine once the last ascendancy is slotted in. Yep, Izaro is a joke so far, BUT the leech mechanic = traps are a REAL pain in the arse.
Once again, thanks to the OP for a wonderfully detailed guide and all his responses to all questions, regardless of whatever is said.
To everyone undecided about using this build, all I can say is Cyclone is a great build, and it can really let you enjoy the game if the playstyle suits you. You have to give it time to get to power up while leveling, but once the gear starts slotting in, the build shines. Bright.
Thanks for the kind words and great job on the build!

Bladedancer now has -10% to physical damage reduction against your hits? Wonder if its better than fatal blade now?
According my POB, Fatal Blade gives more than half dps boost compared to Bladedancer.

My two cents on this:
Buy any high ilvl 6L body armour that you can roll your colors on and use a few fossils on it to get something like this:
I used Pristine + Serrated + Lucent and got it on the second try, probably spent less than 1 ex as a whole
To go even further on this, I swaped the Endurance Charge on Stun for a Blood Magic on my Leap Slam/Ancestral Warchief so now I'm never out of mana even on no regen/leech maps
Thanks for sharing your feedback and great job on the build!

Just one small suggestion: Both Punishment and Assassin's Mark (Specially if you count the Power Charge generation you get when there's ads) net me a higher DPS than Vulnerability on the curse setup.
Other than that, amazing build! I'm deleting basically all content so far and spent very little on my gear
On Assassin's Mark; even without the Power Charge generation it does boost dps slightly higher. The only problem, my character's int is 30, and level 5 Assassin's Mark requires 52 int, even at level 1 it requires 37. So yeah if you have higher int, by all means.
On Punishment, I don't like conditional damage boost - since it requires you to be hit by melee attack - not all of monsters deal melee damage and ideally you don't want to get hit; which is why I took Dazzling Strike for blind.

Really, really solid build. So far, my only issue is having to find Elreon rings/amulets to get that "-3 to channeled skills mana cost" craft. Feels like I'm stuck using Praxis for the rest of my life.
(could also try going for a rare chest piece with the -15 mana cost to socketed skills, but I already invested quite a ton of currency trying to 6-link a decent hp/resist chest I found).
The last ascendancy node really does wonders for the build's survivability. 2.4k life leech per second is no joke.
Have you try contact Vocandin for the craft? Another guy I can vouch for if Vocandin offline is talentedcheese. Just make sure to read how to request for craft service carefully.

This seems like a very nice tip, what Ilvl should I aim for? 70+?
Check out this link for body armour mods and ilvl requirement.

Loving the build so far, melts high level metamorphs. As far as upgrading gear to endgame. Which do you think I should work for first. Better DPS gloves, and the pride watchers eye? Currently 3 ex in league. This is my current gear. Have about 3-4 exalts to upgrade gear. The 6L is a white chest that I found while playing.
Since you don't have -mana cost craft on rare ring, I'd start with 6L body armour -15 mana cost craft. Next upgrade the ring to better rares. Watcher's Eye should be last upgrade - considering it will get cheaper as league get older; assuming no famous streamer recommend it.

Excellent tip. Managed to get this on the first try:
I thought that the "#% damage is taken from mana before life" would fuck me up, but I'm simply not using mana in this build right now (blood rage on CWDT, leap slam on blood magic).
Finally got to ditch the Praxis ring I had equipped since lv 22, lol.
That is a nice armour , well done!

Update : Alot of upgrades and still rocking solid. Major RNG with helmet stats/enchant.
Did you craft and enchant that helmet yourself? I'd say that's perfect helmet for the build!

Did you kill Alira? Since I can't see your character I can't check your passives. Best solution for you is to take mana leech node below Vaal Pact keystone. At your current level it's okay if you can't use one of the aura, just level the gem and at higher level you can use it because you will have higher amount of unreserved mana. Good luck.
Still doing reasonably well. I picked up an impale watcher's eye, and am running it in the slot near blade of cunning. Also got a fairly nice amulet which opens up some options with its stats.
For the curse I am just using a cheap Assassin's mark ring. This one isn't super or anything, but the price was right.
I did pick up this chest piece for 2 ex the other morning, which helps quite a bit. Figure I got a steal on this one, considering I was able to sell my old definitely not fossil crafted chest also for 2ex.
Still have some crap pieces like my helmet and other ring, but things are coming together a little better damage-wise now. I am able to hold my own pretty well in high red maps.
One the prices come down I still might pick up a glorious vanity to fit in the point blank slot for a bunch more EHP. Works nicely with soul tether, which I am using for overleech instead of the perseverance. Even got one with a pride corruption.

I will start this today but i have one Question: How much Chance to hit you have with this Build? Ahns give 2 x 40% Accu and some of the Sword Nodes also but in the Past i had the feeling that Resolute Tec. is much stronger then the Crit/lower Hitchance Variant?
I was thinking about adjusting to a Tree with Bleed, Resolute Tec. and Bleed for more aditional Damage especially for Bossmobs instead of Critchance. Also its more cheap to gear without "Crit Ring Requirement".
I dont know how Impale with Bleed works? I was thinking about this Tree:
I just noticed the "Thank you LiftingNerdBro" section mate. I appreciate that, thanks a lot. You did a great job with this build.
Thank you bro!

I dont know how Impale with Bleed works? I was thinking about this Tree:
1) 100% chance to hit
2) Taking Resolute Technique means losing more than half of total dps
3) Impale and Bleed doesn't work together. Both scale from physical but doesn't benefit each other. Impale = rapid hits to apply Impale stack as fast as possible, bleed = slower but much higher damage per hit.
