Idea for a Summoner Witch Skill gem

I had (what I think) is an elegant solution to (what I call) the "stupid zombie" issue.

Zombies will focus on cursed mobs.

That's it. On the downside, some of you might not ever curse (which I think is probably a huge mistake) and of course curse immune mobs.

though it sounds simple i dont think this would really do anything different, i assume whenever people use curse they spam it on as many mobs as they can so that they are all debuffed to whatever effect the curse gives, this would just result into the same problem, all your minions running around attacking every cursed mob.

Also when your curse gem levels up it increases the radius of the curse. So even if you wanted to curse just a select few mobs for your minions to target, it would just be more of a hastle.

thats just my opinion, what summoners need is something for them to have a more precise control over their minions. Not just Follow the summoner and be aggressive to anything they see that you cannot.

If it were implemented as another skill I think the cost of that extra skill slot well and truly warrants that the skill should apply bonuses from any linked support gems to any minion affected by it, as a short duration buff. About 8 seconds would be nice, or however long firestorm lasts.

I don't think that would work particularly well in multi player considering many players use curses. You'd find your zombies spreading their attacks across every enemy cursed by any player, and as Welchman mentioned curse radii are can be quite large.

I think a small area of effect is best for something like this and some sort of thrown flask that splatters attractant goo on mobs near its impact point fits in well with the whole concept.

Hey all, seeing how all our characters were moved to another league from the new patch i am looking forward to make yet another Summoner witch :D

Reading the patch notes i can see that the mobs will be a lot harder to fight since they gave them a better AI. Cant wait to test out how the Summons AI will compete with the updated mob AI.

If anyone else has started a new summoner dont hesitate to post about your thoughts of the new Mob AI compared to our summons AI. Is it still the same? Do your summons die much faster? Do you feel that the mobs are even easier to kill as a summoner? etc.
