Syndicate member Petrification Statue is an unfair mechanic + Catarina is obsolete

I`m ok with the Gorgon boss, but in intervention the second that statue is cast I`m rock-hard and can`t basically do anything?

Or am i missing something and there is a way to get out of it?
I know you have to dodge the beam but sometimes if feels like it`s instant

Also, i just got +2support gems and the 15% of dmg taken leeched as life + all Catarina challenges

I honestly don`t see the point in doing her ever again. Uniques are crap, and re-setting everything and losing the progress and getting back all the useless members (Vagan, Janus etc) just for an earlier shot at the leaders SOOOO not worth it. So can anybody give me a legit reason as to why ever do her again?

I've never seen this statue you are talking about.

My experience is that there is a beam going to your character from the statue, similar to the Goddess map boss from I think Orchard. I'm not quite sure how long it lasts, but it's very easily lost in the visual clutter of an encounter.

You are correct about Catarina, though. It's a waste of time.

Those petrification statues are from fortification iirc.

I hadn't seen the petrification statue until last patch.
Really surprised me when I did.

Is it? I've noticed the effect is the same (you're frozen in place with a grey skin), but the windup seems different. I don't recall anything linking the character to the Gorgon. I was speaking more about the windup/signalling than the actual effect.

the statue is broken AF they drop it randomly and fairly often you can't see it due to other tat spawning ontop of it/spell effects and you just have to sit there and take it.

Only solutions are bait it out when you see the relevant NPC and destroy their items when you get the opportunity.
