ya i like TR more too, its my fav skill, but i've played it for too many leagues in a row as well and i want something different.

TRs damage is vastly higher than CA, but the CA damage being immediate feels great for mapping because it instantly kills everything.
i can also go the phasing route so i can get very tanky feeling.

depending on how my bow gets crafted i may end up going back to TR - just depends if i get attack speed or not.

i got lucky then pretty unlucky on my craft here. to hit these mods was great, but then i failed the 50/50 regal to hit a suffix. i hit a prefix so i can't add another +1 gems but i'll farm up einhar and once i get the remove a random prefix and add a suffix i'll have another 50/50 shot at being able to get nearly the perfect bow.

it would be absolutely perfect for TR if the suffix added is any type of attack speed



edit: i just compared, and with TR i'd have about 2x or 2.5x the damage than my CA, but i'd also have 650 less hp, less dodge/spell dodge, not immune to all ailments, and required to stand still for at least 2 seconds to see those full damage numbers.
ya i'll probably just stick with CA this league - there is another build or two i wanna do this league anyway

So how does it work for you combining CA (self cast I imagine) with totems?

I'm trying to get my own CA build (target: CI occultist) but wondering what to put on the "filler" sockets since I don't need a wither totem when my ascendancy is gonna be a walking wither totem itself.

Does toxic rain + ballista support add a lot of damage or is it just to debuff mobs / draw aggro and distract them from hitting you?

Good bow, I also was trying crafting a bow with +1 +2 and damage over time, I crafted this one, at the end, works well this culling strike.

it is some decent added damage but its mostly used to wither mobs and slow them. drawing aggro is sometimes a benefit.

keep in mind that occultist wither takes a very long time to stack up.

Regarding Toxic rain + ballista = A lot of more damage, I just recorded a movie killing a Metamorph T15 only with Ballista:

And I`m not focusing totally in damage in Ballistas, I`m testing GMP instead of others damage gems, but probably this damage can be improved lot more.

At the end, my self cast TR + totem TR = A BIG damage :)

Can you stack wither from different sources, like if you use withering step + wither totem, or with withering touch ballistas, does it stack twice as fast than if you only used 1 source? If you use Occultist wither node and wither totem would it stack faster or just overwrite each other?
it stacks faster.
since its different sources of the same debuff they will add onto one another

Afonsosp, how do you get much damage from the totems when it's not buffed by levels from the bow, ballista support is -41% damage and multiple totems is -21% damage? On paper it seems they wouldn't be doing good damage, so what's the secret?
