Veiled Mod "You have onslaught during soul gain prevention" does not display the buff icon

I crafted mine onto a pair of boots and it triggers whenever I use a vaal skill as it should, but the buff icon is not displayed (I have enabled showing everything in the UI options and onslaught from other sources shows as normal). The reason I initially made this bug report was that I thought it wasn't working at all but I checked the character sheet and then actually counted my attacks over a period with and without using vaal skills in between.

onslaught is active when we gain soul ?

You have onslaught. You don’t have a buff that gives you onslaught so no icon. You should see it in your stats when it happens.
