[3.6] Vowel's Crit Storm Brand Elementalist - Flaskless Uber Elder

What is difference in Elementalist and Inquisitor and which one would you suggest?
Hello!

Very nice build, i really appriciate these as a new player. I have 2 questions about it though:
Why is Blast Radius better than Lightning Walker? Both paths require the same amount of passive points from start point to Cruel Preparation. Should be the Lighning Walker path more damage? Is AoE that important?
And everyone seems to be running Elemental Overload with Controlled Destruction support. How do you consistently proc Elemental Overload with the -100% crit chance?

Thanks in advance. :)
AoE = clearspeed
If you feel you have enough area of effect, you can switch.

Critical chance has a minimum of 5% and cannot be reduced below this, with the exception of the keystone passive skill Resolute Technique.
Our number of hits/s is high, therefore we have perma elemental overload.

Ah, thanks, that was new info.
And right now im more concerned about bosses than clearspeed so i'll try the Lightning Walker path for now. The extra res is also very sweet in SSF. :)
New setup for maps :

Gotta go fast !

You should follow the author pastebin.
For instance, you took 5 crit chance crit/damage nodes (top right) but you use elemental overload (=no crit multi) : you just wasted 5 skill points.
You should respec these and some other nodes (the jewel socket, top left, 4 skill points) and go for phase acrobatics : huge defensive boost !
Get Quick Recovery and Inspiration.
Here is the author skill tree @lvl 82.

Stuff :
- Your chest has controlled destruction twice, get a concentrated effect instead. An 80% res loreweave would be better.
- Get 70+ life on every piece of gear, cap your res but don't overcap too much (you have 120 extra fire res and 145 extra lightning res : pointless). I would change weapon > boots (more life) (> amulet (%leech)) as soon as possible. The boots you linked previously are fine !
- extra mana on gear is a bonus

Appreciate the feedback Freredacier..
i went back and checked on every point you mentioned. it has been night and day and i have been non-stop playing. I may be running into a bit of a wall now that i reached Pit of Chimera Map getting spanked by the end boss.

Spoiler

thank you again for your feedback

Might be of use to some people starting this build, I've added all the trees from the levelling section to one pastebin for ease of reference.

Hope this helps.
hey there, maybe someone can help me with my sceptres.

i dont get why the crafted one shows less dps in pob than the other one.
at least the tooltip dps for the crafted one is higher.
may the "gain as extra chaos dmg" isnt calculated correctly ?

any help is appreciated.
Playing a variant on this build.
Had limited playtime recently so only at lvl 85, and haven't really optimised my gear (And don't have much funds to do so at the moment, though am about to proc lvl 3 it that fled in research!)

I've gone for warlords mark on hit, which frees up a few gems slots, though not sure what to put in yet. A vaal RF setup probably makes sense.

Current gear

Thing I probably really need to invest in is some jewels, but what should I go for gearing wise?

- Weapon, It's not great, but was cheap. Guess I should get a multimod one eventually.
- Amulet, I corrupted a few similar with OK mods on bad bases, and didn't get anything good. Then realised I should have converted to talismans instead! But this can definitely get an upgrade.

- Chest, Got a loreweave I'm trying to link that I'll probably switch to. This carcass linked in 1 fusing, so is definitely going in the corruption chamber if I get chance!

- Boots, I just had them in stash. Don't really want to roll over the current enchant, so should buy new ones.

- Elder ring, was best one I rolled. Gets expensive, so probably stick with this one! Will try and syndicate slam it for another mod.

- Shield. I actually like running Vix lunaris, don't need anti freeze, less stat requirements and cheaper to corrupt. If you are going to corrupt anyway, not much downside.

- Belt/Glove/Helm. Pretty happy with these, doubt I'd get much of an upgrade.

This is unoptimized gear? Yikes, your gear looks about as good as the person who made the guide
