In such regards (AoF + Blackgleam), better get some general node rather than DoT clusters (Holy Fire or Entropy), since burning will be scaled from the initial hit and the 'increased' part is just additive with any other 'increased' affix coming from the initial hit.

At least, that's how i understand ignite mechanics regarding damage calculcations.

Edit : nvm, i was wrong about what i said above, the original hit is considered a new 'base damage' for ignite calculations, meaning it's a different source contrary to what i thought.

this skill need a serious buff from developpers.

i want to play burning Arrow so bad!

-increase dmg
- increase burning dmg
- increase ingnite chance
- create ignite stacking :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Get a Harbinger Bow with dual physical prefix + fire or triple physical. Projectile Weakness/Flammability, Phys Proj Damage, Added Fire, Fire Penetration, Life Leech, Weapon Elemental Damage. With high enough life leech% on gear, you can replace the Life Leech with Faster Attacks or Increased Critical Damage.

Take all the bow damage and critical multiplier in the ranger area. Ignite Chance is rubbish, getting big meaty periodic crits every four seconds that translates into decent steady burns is the gate. A total of 143% of the best of your puny shots, or 143% of a 4x crit added as damage over four seconds. Think about it mans.

Only a Templar Avatar of Fire guy shouldn't use critical% with this skill. He can get ignite into a thicker place with Fire% instead.

That wont work when enemy has 75% resistance.

Fire penetration works for direct damage, but not for burn caused by it, am i right?
Curses are great until curse-immune foe spawns.

Half of skills: Useless without several specific support gems.

A couple of skills: Deals one thousand times more damage per second than these skills at their peaks, in the right builds.

Burning Arrow is a lot less specialised than it used to be, now that it actually comes with 50% damage conversion.
