Is POE Trade Macro Bannable?

Well I have found out something new that maybe can explain why you keep getting banned.
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1755148/page/44 So in PoE-Trade macro you can make "custom" action like after a trade you push a key and it will do the following --> 1. Say "thx for trade" in party chat. 2. Leave party. 3. Go back to your HO. This is a multi action macro and that is NOT allowed, so if you have been using these then this would explain why you keep getting banned. I didn't even know that these things was possible because they have been added later after an update and I didn't notice it. Luckily I haven't used any of these and I have now disable them in the PoE-Trade macro setup. I hope this will help you find out why you keep getting banned. |

" Thanks for the clarification, but then why should be POE trade macro be usable? The functions are in the autokey as default. It should be restricted at the very place. People like me who view and followed some popular youtubers won't know much since it was introduced by them. And also in the thread you provided " they don't even explained to us that which is a NO or Yes. They are the admins/support. They can't give a definite answer whether it is ok to use it or not. They answer with "not able to comment" and "suggest"! They can't say that "Hey this program is usable but this and this function you can be banned." It is totally not appropriate. And how the support has replied totally is unacceptable. Till now 6th days after the last conversation in the email, nothing has been replied back. It was introduced by "someone" from online, in the end i was banned twice and wasted that amount of money and time on both accounts, especially for the new account. It has some good loots like keys and some items. Just my luck to follow that "someone" and thought it was safe to use. I would like to also suggest if someone can have a list of 3rd party program list which is totally usable to all players especially the new players! Thank you HanSoloDK. I really appreciate your help and effort.But i would like to say the admins/supports are totally not reliable. No wonder the numbers of players playing are going down. well as you can also read, the creator of PoE trade macro doesn't care about his users getting banned. He actually says several times that he knows it's against ToS but he doesn't believe anyone will get banned because it's just to help with trading....
Why PoE Trade macro works is because long time ago, GGG was asked by losts of players to provide access to an API for the game (so we could have poe.trade web page many years before GGG made one themself), and they agreed but also stated that misuse would get an account banned. Chris and other members of GGG has also clearly stated several times that the only thing that is allowed is --> one key = one action. There is ONLY 1 exception to this rule, again cleary stated by GGG, and this is logout. They accept that you make a macro that if you press F4 it's the same as pressing ALT+F4 (close active program). I have been using PoE trade macro for more then 1 year and I didn't even know that this changes had been made, that I could get banned for but again that is my own fault for not checking after updates. |
