Playable yes, but we'll see how bad the new trap throwing speed will be. Damage wise you'll probably keep up, with Shaper gloves it's overall ~20% less damage.

This is a fun build to play and I think the basics of this guide would apply to lightning & fire traps which both got buffed significantly. Of course support gems and some passives would be a little different but overall this guide would make a good all around trapper of pretty much any flavour.
Well well, seems I will start Delve following this build.
Seems interesting and proxy builds are kinda safe and noob-proof so suits me :)

also my arthritis maybe will benefit of non bashing behaviour :)

Who knows if arc will make some vision in the darkness...

I think you might be misunderstanding this lol

The first time you level with traps or mines its actually really weird. Cause if youre used to other faceroll builds than traps and mines tend to feel clunky at first. Yes if you actually keep your distance and not jump into every single mob pack you should be fine more or less but if a hit actually goes through evasion/dodge it will hurt. Also if you take MoM for early tankyness it'll feel even worse since being hit once or twice by a somewhat hard-hitting mob will reduce your mana quite a bit. This is not meant to be discouraging. By all means try it out, trap builds are a lot of fun. But people tend to report it feeling really clunky in the beginning so either try it if you're ok with some frustration or dont if you get frustrated really quickly. :)

Edit: I just checked your profile and saw you made some trappers before so I'll just let this sit here for anyone completely new to the game to consider :)

Squishy, mana sucker and sometimes more glassy than my Raider MF ripperino.. Buy Yesterday evening i've seen ziggyd dom Blow summoner Guardian and i am really so and so, perhaps i Will roll First trapper, farm some currency and then roll Guardian.
Still nice build for endgame boss after PN?
since I'm a lazy one, never stopped some mins to check what gem are available sooner or later, so just moved through acts with horrible gear and random gems, quite struggling against mobs, as usual in 5 y.

this time I'll try to benefit from gems as soon as i can, so i've copied from op this list to do it, hope it helps lazy ppl like me :) (gear/gem/act/quest/lv required) unless you will have currency to get them earlier through trade, ignored the priorities about which gem to sock before or after in a 4-5-6L perhaps the op has made it in the 1st post.

Well if you enjoy turtling around while chad caustic arrow with new awesome scorpion buddy are zooming through the content then sure, it is still a nice build.
