Maybe, for people who cannot attend personally, some form of virtual/Twitch-based participation can be arranged. I am thinking a room filled with streams from players (not just the high-profile streamers, but also just plain-old fans) on a large display or a bank of monitors?

During the general Con, you could have a main screen cycling through greetings from players around the world (face shot, wave, short greeting to the Con and GGG) on a larger screen (this way, streamers/Twitch attendees can grab or receive via email a shot of themselves "on the big screen". That, in itself, is its own bit of 'swag' for those who can't or can't afford to visit.

During any Q&As, occasionally having questions from the virtual con via "big-screening" someone would also be possible and relatively simple to pull off.
