[3.6] Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist

Vaal Blade Vortex is kinda OP as fuck, although it's a little retarded in open maps, wandering around doing nothing.

And yeah, everything lasts forever. Resists for Act 6 ~ 10 are sorted, so it's smooth sailing from now on.

How about to start this build in HC league? It's ok?

I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but which stats to look out for on a shield? Are there any unique shields that fit this build?

The 3 Heralds are linked with Enlighten in POB and in your post it's Herald of Ash-Herald of Ice-Golem + Herald of Thunder-Blind-Curse On Hit-Warlord's Mark.

I'm going to start the league in a few hours. Anyone playing this build in 3.3 who could answer some questions?

1. How's leveling as leaguestarter? Is it smooth?
2. any estimation how far this build can push on a budget of less than 1ex?
3. Does it feel tanky or rippy in endgame?

I played this build during Flashback, and got Vaal BV during my first temple run so decided to use it as my partial lead-start before I transition to a different elementalist build later on.

1. Leveling as a league-start is great once you get used to the playstyle.

2. 1ex should get you to red maps if you wait for divinarius prices to come down and spend smart for the rest of your gear. During Flashback I found that there were some serious breakpoints with this build. If you are looking to go this build long-term expect to sink around 15~20ex into it to get through red maps. You'll need a heavily sought after 6link, and some expensive shaper/elder items - not to mention how popular the build is this league. The weapons are also pretty hard to find. I camped poe trade for a few days for the one I upgraded to and still needed a pair by the time I quit. I had enough exalts but no one was listing any good ones.

3. I found it to be a bit squishy, but I quit Flashback at a point where I was likely at another breakpoint in gear to comfortably farm t14~15 maps. Trash is not the issue, thanks to the leech we have. The main issue was bosses. With Vaal BV that may be less of an issue this league, but I'm not finding that charges on Vaal skills are recharging fast enough on bosses so far.

Just my 2c from a normal player who is experienced but not a ladder-chaser.

only 55 but levelling is crazy so far. just get some weapons with added dmg to spells and a pair of hrimsorrow gloves and you are good to go. would recommend going with spell echo before you get some cast speed otherwise it can feel a bit clunky.

blade vortex, controlled destruction, physical to lightning and added fire is what i'm currently using but as i said, take out physical to lightning for spell echo until it feels fast enough.

went for skill duration straight away and with that new belt it's currently 11.5 seconds which is pretty damn good.

Is the axion the best option or do you have some unique low lvl dagger that can be used for leveling?

Why am I not getting any frenzy charges from Herald of Ice + Ice Bite? Does it require that Herald damage kills enemy?
