There's a common misconception in the community that our balance team doesn't play Path of Exile. They actually do play it, a whole lot. We have people with level 100 hardcore characters, multiple famous community members who have come to work for us and you may not even know it. The minimum requirement to join our QA team is 1000 hours of PoE experience, and we still turn people with that prerequisite away if they're not good enough at the game. So you took away Racing in order to slot in more Leagues to sell more MTX and this is what we get?

Oh boy this is the most salty river of tears I've seen in a thread in a long time.

Who knows how many more items people are just sitting on. This is only 6L that were posted this morning. We know there are hundreds more out there. This isn't even including the lab enchants duped or the shaper/elder items floating around.

Mostly the shaper/elder items will be here the whole league and sell for massive amounts which required no effort to get at all.

Yea between this bullshit league and this company giving people duplicates on those sin boxes and no way to trade them ?. Yea I'm quitting this game you guys have disgusting business practices.

I don't understand why this needs a fix.

It can't damage standard (or marginally because elder/shaper item are recent).
It won't damage your next league.
It's just this league.

You know, you can entirely disable orb drops except scrolls, only allow beastcrafting, add ton of new beast recipe with various rarity that don't necessarily follow the usual scarcity values... you can do all that and the league would still be fine.

This league is perceived as bad because it actually doesn't change things much (I am fine with it, but I can understand where the whining comes from). You fear your leagues are getting repetitive ? Then WHY OH WHY are you afraid of shacking things around ?

The reception of this league is probably the worst you ever had. You can either coward back and fix this... fix that... put duct tape here and there... all that to "keep things as they always are". Do a bit of damage control, still exit the league with your image worse than at the start.
Or you can make things even more unusual, new and unexpected. Throw your 6 years all balance out the whazoo and give your players something they have never played here before.

Why not reduce orb drop even lower ?
Why not recipes that require a full menagerie of specific common yellow beasts for a powerful effect like 6-linking or guaranteed specific unique ?
More ways to chaos item, more ways to modify maps... be wild.

I regret spending money on this league. Won't happen again.

Not blind at all. I offered no criticisms, that does not mean it's blind. I barely played harbringer and hated abyss. GGG is not perfect, but then again neither am I. It is my choice to spend the amount of time I have in this game, regardless of bugs or not. GGG owes me nothing, all the financial support I have given was voluntary and not in lieu of some currency i can later use against them because things don't go the way I like in their game. They have already taken the necessary steps to correct this situation, stated clearly what the problem was and who was responsible. This followed by comments on reddit have just shown me how incredible this company is. So they definitely respect your time and have made every action and decision they needed to to address this the best way THEY see fit. I cannot ask for more because that would be entirely self centered and delusional of me to think this company needs to handle things the way I see fit.
