Bestiary Challenge Rewards

three rewards.

No armor.
No portal.
Nothing other than pets.

What happend with armor sets ? Last I recall was from Talisman league .....

Two leagues in a row same rewards - kinda lazy, not to mention wings more or less almost same as abyss.

Bummer on the rewards! I feel the same as others. Changing up the MTX rewards for the challenges is a must! I think since you guys have changed rewards in the past (Breach gloves for the footprints) along with NOT showing us the 40 challenges up front to make plans that you should change the helmet for sure at 12 challenges completed for a pet. Then you could revamp the order in which you get the rewards. Wings at 12, Portal at 24, and Pet at 36. Now that would be more epic in my opinion, and I would most surely have more fun grinding out 36 knowing I get something I can keep with me all the time like my purple monkey. The earned challenge MTX in my opinion are worth wearing for me even though I have bought other MTX, as it reminds me of the hard work and fun from that league to bring forth into new challenge leagues, etc.

Having a pet was awesome! Well worth pushing until 36 to hit on Prophecy league. Then as some other MTX rewards were introduced the portal at 36 was moved to 24. So for me makes portal effects not quite so rewarding anymore. I do like them very much, however believe it should be a 24 challenge reward. Having something like Harbinger with the character effect. Something new and not done before for the 36th challenge MTX. I believe all 36 challenge reward MTX should be ones you can show off in town to everyone (aka footprints, wings, character effect, armour sets) and not a portal effect that you can't show your prowess in that game/challenge league. I would appreciate something new as a reward or bringing in a better/revised look at something brought in before. For me the Harbinger Head effect/attachment along with this Bestiary helm are meh. Not very elaborate at all or rewarding. I 100% won't use those. On the other hand for me I use the Golden Seraph armour set, Perandus effects (footprints, weapon effect, portal), Breach wings, Harbinger character effect, Prophecy pet as my main setup (new characters usually change them to this as well even though I have a ton of other effects to chose from). Challenge rewards in the least should be different each league to make a unique setup over a few leagues. Same helm effect back to back is for me a failure on GGG's part. Free to play players have to make a choice on which helm to wear, and should get something new each league. Helm one league, gloves another, boots, chest, wings, character effect, weapon effect, footprints. The whole point I believe GGG brought in these MTX challenge rewards was to bring more players in and for a longer duration. Longer they play/more interest in the game the more likely they will buy supporter packs, and real $ MTX effects.

Same feeling I got from the lack luster/non existent Racing support from GGG in this game, which you guys have conveniently not mentioned a thing about bringing back in over a year. Honestly can't say you are too busy, which before you didn't hardly put in any effort. Why should I be surprised?

Feelsbadman when you guy notice a problem in Abyss league, and comment we are unable to fix it until after the league ends?! Seeing things like this with your past good updates makes it seem like my support isn't worth much honestly. Like I said in a previous post that I believe supporters should have a say (vote) when you guys plan to make huge changes to core elements.

For me this league seems like Pokemon, and I gotta catch em' all! I loved Pokemon, and still like the idea behind it. Still seems like I'm not 100% feeling this league, however I'm sure like the past I will aim for 36 challenges.

The Legacy league I stopped after 25 challenges completed as the challenges along with "another" portal effect at 36 was for me passable. I play PoE a lot, and use it mainly for my downtime after work/fun in my free time. Even though that league was longer than the normal three month I couldn't get into it, and the MTX rewards for me wasn't worth it. If you look all leagues since the Flashback league I have gotten 36+ challenges completed.

To summarize I believe more thought should be put into the rewards. At the end of the day the MTX rewards (not quite the challenges/grind) are what we remember more fondly, and see each time we play moving forward. Having unique MTX reward effects will bring players in and keep them playing. My hopes are that GGG listens, and makes the changes. A pet is indeed need instead of the helm effect.

P.S. Next league it would be amazing/show GGG values our input if GGG would come up with a list of reward options. Then as a community we can vote on what we want, and at which tier to get the reward. Then GGG can have a better idea that they can theme the reward to that league. Also as GGG knows our community is very talented in coming up with artwork and unique ideas. Having a write in option for a reward that GGG can review and comment on possibly adding as an option or for a future league would be exciting!

I'm still baffled by how often I see this complaint. Maybe I'm just obnoxiously lucky at some points but of the 20 some odd Liches I murdered I got a double socket 7 times. Gloves 4 times, helm twice (dammit), and the only body armour drop I got (double dammit).

As for these rewards, not super keen on helm or portal, so may only care about wings. Even then the only wings I've liked so far I already have (phoenix, fire and gloom).

Helm is nice.

Like the helmet, but there definitely should have been some pet rewards, since it's "Bestiary" after all! :D


First Reward: Small cute pet (bunny, kiwi etc)

Middle Reward: Medium-sized cool looking pet (tiger, wolf etc)

Final Reward: Big fat rotund pet, (maybe a giant panda-looking thing) that waddle around next to the player.
