3.2 - Hungry Loop Decay Death Aura build - Great Uber Lab runner - T16 Maps/Guardians

Hello sir, im loving your build, is amazing! i just have 1 questioin, probably a super noob one but i really dotn udnerstand it.

If we are not going for ES, why taking Wicked Ward instead of Forbidden power? I just want to udnerstand, as i said probably is a really noob question.

You can take it if you want.

It's just that realistically, the build does not consume a whole lot of mana so you'd only be sustaining power charges at boss for a whopping...20% spell damage and 20% AoE. Both of which do not affect the damage of your death aura and decay, only the AoE of BV/Death Aura/Blight and the damage of blight/essence drain.

So I went with a free 100 ES instead with unstoppable ES recharge. But those 2 nodes are very much interchangable and have no real impact on the build.

1.3 crit firestorm: #1280086 / 1.3 crit Ice Nova: #1219809 / Flame Nova (sire of shards incinerate): #1359847
Very satisfying mapping experience with this build.

This tree costs one point more than the original one posted here, and is roughly equivalent except for providing an additional 20% chaos res. I think it's an attractive option given how expensive the gearing is on resists, and the chaos res requirement on the gear makes it worse. I think it might be worth considering dropping a 5% life node for it in some cases.

Then this one costs two points more than the original, and adds 12% chaos res. It tweaks some of the other numbers slightly too. It leaves off 2 points short of another jewel node, so for 4 points over the original altogether, and with a good jewel, it's a solid improvement

Finally done with the build, leveled up quick as fuck for a few hours with abberaths, so I'm finally mapping. This is the most enjoyable thing I've played for a long time, thank you so much for the effort and creative thought :)

Couple questions that might be retarded but came to my attention, so gotta ask:

1) What is this Aura thing around me after I kill a rare/unique monster (is it the death's oath aura becoming visible?)
2) Why do the mobs sometimes explode as if I've casted Abyssal cry, although I haven't (we r casting it manually rite?)
3) Why doesn't Swift Affliction change the tooltip dmg of Blight :O
4) Why Soul of Garukhan instead of Shakari (5% Reduced chaos dmg taken)
5) Fuck, its annoying to recast blade vortex all the time :D

Btw, I got me a +1 Atziri Step, it's rly cheap this league, but it's awesome, it has everything we need if u can get enough resistance from the ring, belt, helm slots.

I ended up with:

34% chaos res
442.3 life regen (still low level, below 5k life),
29% Phys Reduction,
25% Chance to evade attacks,
15% Chance to dodge spells.

That's all without flasks ofc. Feels rly smooth.

1) The aura is from your amulet (Maddening presence). It reduces the damage and slows down the monsters in the area.

2) This is from Occultist. 25% chance for monsters to explode.

3) Swift Affliction affects Blight, so I dunno why your tooltip isn't higher. Maybe because your other green gem that should be void manipulation is also swift affliction and you didn't notice? That's all I can think about.

4) I took it for the free movement speed but you're free to use the other one.

5) lol, you're basically saying it's annoying to perform 1 action every few seconds :P

Haha, ye, it feels so autowin runnin around and shit just dying around u, that actually having to press buttons other than flasks feels like a huge effort :DD #ThisBuildHasSpoiledMe
Do you think alchemy node is worth take? Also what jewels i need to focus? % chaos dmg/Over time + Life?

If you open up his path of building, which he shares information for - you'll see.
Spreading Rot x2, then life % with dot + chaos resist.
