Do you actually think that people would stop buying microtransactions if we were allowed to easily mod the game? Because that's laughable. 99.9% of the people buy the cash shop items to get attention. Modding the game doesn't accomplish this.

Mods are essential for games like PoE. It will be a slight risk GGG will have to make sometimes. Also, it's not like they have to give up every aspect of the game for modding.

Also, bump for the pants :) Where good work has been done, it needs to be properly appreciated and recognised.

Looks great. I would definitely pay for more customisation in how my character looks. Currently it is kind of bland when all the characters and armors look the same.

I apreciate all the posts! As soon as I get some free time I'll make one mara or shadow re-skin. For now, I updated the OP with the images showed in the rest of the thread.

@Pants too tight argument: read carefully, I don't have the tech to edit models, so the only way to work around it is to try to create an ilusion of volume with the lightning (speculars).

@We don't need pants arguments: I don't think that making nude characters would add anything to the gritty world of Wraeclast.

@Mods and PoE future: It is possible to create protections for some files and keep others free to be moded, but ofc it can be bypassed. I don't see PoE being modable though - as a dev I'd keep an eye for any sort of mod being requested to make it with higher quality as microtransactions (like mine, but with proper models and assets - difference is that I'm offering to help, and it's not the first time xD).

Maybe they plan on adding a pants slot later? :D

Perhaps GGG should look into having a cosmetics shop similar to Dota 2, where users submit cosmetics and the userbase votes on them to see whether they go into the shop. That would create more interest in cosmetics within the userbase, and also take some of the workload off of GGG.

Funny fact: I didn't notice how bad Shadow's social skills are until I had to take the SS's... He NEVER looks up.
