I would assume so since I don't have a crazy amount of bleed yet..

if you're not having any problems feeling tanky enough, sure use punishment. however, just remember it only activates when an enemy hits you with a melee strike.

there's some confusion with this bc GGG changed old vuln to despair, so in my thread where vuln was linked, it changed it to despair and there's been a good amount of confusion on that

Belt of deceiver is fine for leveling, however retch/a good rustic with res/life would be better for us in the long run.

For your 5L qualitying gems i'd go in this order:

Cyclone you should quality first (aoe)

brutality, maim 2nd (10% phys)

melee phys (10% melee)

then chance to bleed (10% bleed)

Doesn't it let us leech more HP at a much faster rate? ESP with cherribums?

Yeah, I'm going to edit the guide, as 3.1 came in real fast with no advanced knowledge. I'm playing it right now at endgame and I definitely don't need vaal pact. I'm going to put on the guide Vaal Pact is optional, use your best judgement as it's just a couple points.
