Yeah, even i cann tell you why. You are using a Tabula Rasa is the first thing. The next thing is, Boots and Helmet. They provide a nice boost to Life and Resistances though, but add nothing to prevent physical damage of any kind. You are stacked with Ice Resistance as far i can see, but fire and lightning are lacking a bit.

The Build really doesnt stack much Armor via Skill Points though, but there are a few nodes he takes that have +xx to armor. So my advice would be, swap out mentioned equipment and try to get decent goodies with life/resistance rolls so you can farm currency reliable without dying. Later on you can always upgrade. Kaoms Heart with 160c and Belly of the Beast with 80c might be out of reach for now, but there are enough good Rare, at least 5 linked chestpieces on poe.trade. Or you can always go for a white one and try to alch/essence it yourself.

Ok thanks a lot.I've got a better helmet but it requires level 70 to use. And btw since my gears are mostly dex/str based, is it worth taking iron reflexes? Or use iron reflexes + grace to give more physical reduction for now?

Depends. If you want to go pure Armor then Iron Reflexes could be worth it, if you insist on having Armor/Evasion Hybrids. But im not that much into Character Planning myself, so you might wanna wait for a more qualified answer on that one :)

Is Lacerate's damage comparable to Sunder?
I am trying to figure out if it would be better to go Doomsower Lacerate rather than Kaom's Primacy/Marohi Sunder.

Maroi should have the highest DPS out of the cheaper options before moving to Disfavour as Sunder is far better than Lacerate imo, it also feels better which is rather important for my playstyle.

I actually ran the numbers in Path of Building, dps wise it seems to be Disfavor > Starforge > Uul Embrace > Maroi Equi > Doomsower/Hezmana's. Like Ghazzy said, the most optimal route would probably be Marohi Equi > Disfavor.

Thank you <3

I would say a ~500 DPS rare is better than anything other than Starforge and Disfavour. I picked one up for about 60C.

I'm struggling with maps above T12 with this build. Just about 5500 life doesn't seem to be enough for some of the harder mods.

Hm, what's causing the issues? I managed guardians & even hard rolled core malachai with the build without being in too much of a risk of dying.

I've been following the leveling portion of this guide pretty closely but I'm struggling with abyss mobs at my current level 45 Act 5. I haven't optimized my gear in any fashion other than to try and get 4/5 link gear with the correct socket colors.

As suggested in the leveling portion I've been sticking with the Sunder-Added Fire-Faster Attacks-Melee Physical gems (2H Axe build) until I get to higher levels and get a 6L piece of gear to switch to the bleed portion of the build.

Is there anything I can do to improve my dps so I don't get overwhelmed with the abyss mobs and fail the event?

Thanks,

Grez

Just an update. I switched to a 5L axe with bleed and it's made all the difference in the world. Thanks all for your help.

Glad things worked out! :)

Another Q. Is HoA just for the burn damage on kill? as you run brutality in the links, which means it contributes nothing to the base damage. Would it be better to run Vuln-Blasphemy instead?

Personal taste, I like having the explosion to finish those small shits on the sides that refuses to die.

Cool Build, much appreciated :)

Theres just one thing i dont understand: "Switching to Bleed"....i mean, you have a chance to bleed skillgem in your main setup from the start. Am i missing something here, or am i just too stupid to read properly?

As you're lvling I recommend in the guide to use Sunder - melee phys - faster attacks - added fire as it's far more optimal to lvl with till you're sorted with a 100% chance to bleed on hit that's when you can make the switch to go bleed mode as it simply isn't worth it prior to that.

Glad you like it! :)

Base defence means very little in this game unless you're severly stacking it to the extremes tbh (ES aside). I would personally prefer to have a mix as the little armour gain helps vs porcupines and what not but then again, so does evasion. Ultimately it'll end in a matter of taste.

NOTE:

There's something wrong with the skill tree links, I don't know what's causing it. It's all accurate except the Vaal Pact is missplaced. Once the tree tells you to take the Dexterity node above "Vitality Void" (the leech node) you want to grab Vaal Pact as well. I've added information about this in the guide.

If you look at the URL for the trees, it has 3.0.0 as part of it.
This indicates which patch version the tree is for.
Change it to 3.1.0 or 3.1.1.
Also, is there any change you can check my guy out, and see why he's so damned squishy?

Will have to double check that another time, will take a quick peak at your character now:

You're not using a 2H weapon that does a pretty big change if you do for higher DMG output which means less dmg taken and better leech :)
Skullhead is a very bad helmet in general, not even good for summoners.
Have sorted your resistances? Whats your HP?

Hey, wrong guy. This is my BF toon. My sunder guy is RuinsBloodyAbyss
Well, wouldnt be playing the Mace Version the better choice then? Kongors Undying Rage with around 600 pDPS is available for as cheap as 1 Chaos when you look at poe.trade now. Sure, the +25 % to Bleed Chance and +2 to Gems are something you gonna recognize for sure, but who in the hell has 400+ chaos? And since the Build seems to be viable without a Disfavour, i guess the Mace Route is way more budget friendly than the Axe Route could ever be. 600 pDPS for 1 chaos is kinda unbeatable.

EDIT: Ok, Disfavour has the slightly higher attack speed, but with Haste and Blood Rage thats not going to much of a difference i guess.

You shouldnt use Haste, it should be HoA & Hatred.

Auras:

- Haste

In the Build Guide the Aura links actually recommend "Haste". Might wanna correct that :)

The maximum possible pdps for Kongor is around 480.

Oh yeah....just saw it. But the ones listed on poe.trade actually do deal up to 600 physical damage. am i missing something there? oO Or is the pDPS the only value thats important for bleed damage later on, and no the total damage?

On top of that you could ditch Resolute technique once you have Kongors and gain advantage of the Onslaught Mechanic it provides, thus further increasing your attack speed.
