Not an expert but been playing it with 5link for a long time. As a 5link setup I dropped Increased Area of Effect/Concentrated Effect. Makes bosses fights harder without conc but you should be fine. Just my 2 cents

You've got me thinking about clear speed variants of this now, since I focused mine primarily on single target.

I think I want to take this to the next logical step and go Shield Charge Cast on Crit, I wonder how good that could become.

What is the preferred 5link carcass jack setup?

Also why do you have the 3 regen nodes selected if you're using Vaal pact?

you have a hidden potential in your tree, but no magic items. is this a mistake or what am i missing?

great build otherwise... following it now and having lots of fun.

if you could explain why youre not scaling any chaos damage id be happy too, seen many variants of DP now and never understood if scaling chaos is worth it.

Scaling Chaos damage is the same as scaling spell damage. I for one did take the chaos nodes and have a slightly different approach to the build.

So the tree can be made up a bit different but in the end it's just preference. This build will work perfectly fine, a build without investing into cold damage (and with void manipulation) will do just as good IMO.

Any suggestions on using this as a league starter? I know I'm a bit late :P

Noob here, I'm currently playing a FNM build that runs 3L curses with Doedre's Damning instead of your 3L with golem + curse. Does having the curses linked to the golem mean that it will be casting the curses so I don't have to manually do it? Does this mean hypothetically, I can have a 4L with a golem who can auto cast skills for me? That would be a great QoL upgrade. If not, then why do you link it to a golem? Just for that additional cast and attack speed? Thanks!

Yep great league starter, don't even need any of the uniques really, try to borrow a tabula from a friend or get a cheap 5 link and you're all good.
