Upcoming Additions to the Harbinger League

By the way: Harbinger Designs strongly remind me of Stargate somehow. More Sci-Fi than Fantasy to be honest.
Are we getting lazor-gunz in the next patch???

But harbingers? More of these boring shards? Why?

A good addition would have been:

- chance to spawn a portal to the harbingers´ realm (D3 treasure goblin anyone?)
- chance for a harbinger boss to spawn (harder than beyond)
- chance for a harbinger essence to drop (enchant with superior stats)
- chance for gaining harbinger powers for 1 minute
- chance for spawning a harbinger chest (filled with random unweighted goodies)

I mean this list could be 100 pages long if you only knew what players want from a game. Excitement, rewards, gambling maybe. But more pretty useless shards or orbs? What benefit do we get from them? Minor, super minor changes to the game.
And these obelisks will probably only annoy people as it makes the game slower and frustrating.


Yep that exactly what should be done, portal for another "harbinger" world would be really awesome, people play for fun, not competition (mostly) we need te have something rewarding to start over at every league. And really Legacy was great for the diversity.
Its not hard to design something fun.

- portal for another world is one.
- waves of dark mobs coming in a dark ambiant like in the Vall part when the screen got darker, like you hard totally in the dark almost, dealing with ghosts/darkness mobs not knowing who are close to you.
- Mobs you have to chase to get their treasures, but who leaves traps on their way.
- Other world bosses, spamming like tentacles in the ground, repulsing you while you triy to kill the boss.
- Rare merchants you have to protect/escort for a while to get their marchandise as a precious rewards.
- MOnstruosity that can divide themself on kill like 1->2->4->16 and become more quick and powerfull at every stage.
- Rare fragments of uniques item you collect and assemble over maps and are guarded by Golems guardians in a reliquary.
- Elemental Invasion were pack of divert ELemental golems and their army try to kill you so you never know if your gonna be ambush by an Ice pack/ a fire pack... something colorful with big elementals monsters. Changeing the weather in Snow/rain/rain of fire... you got a great FX team doing good those effect like for skills.
- It could be a treasure hunt with maps fragments hidden in vaals areas, leading to a treasure end map.

I don't know but i think people just want to kill big stuff and get or seek for rewards that worth something and don't wanna farm 80 level to make a shamefull useless orb lol...
Any change to global monster's density in maps ?

I love the 3.0 Expansion with Tons of Improvements, but specially the Harbinger Season Content is for me the Worst Season Content ever with Tempest. Feels like Standard with a few Harbinger Mobs.
And plz GGG buff slightly the Breach Spawnrate to 15-20%. Breaches are Way too rare.

I have to agree. Increasing the drop rates of shards is "meh" at best, and since GGG tends to always err on the side of caution i'm sure these drop rate buffs are going to be barely noticeable anyhow.

Obelisks just slow the Harbinger encounters down even more, which is exactly what most players DON'T WANT. First, we have to wait for the Harbinger to spawn its 3 portal things before we can even kill it to get shards, and now we'll probably have to wait longer to deal with obelisks?

All that's going to lead to is most people skipping them completely, this league is like playing standard with the addition of an annoying mob that sometimes spawns and drops bits of currency.

I know the 10 acts was the focus, but this league is really suffering due to it. I would have rather done breach or legacy again with it over something that clearly didn't have resources and time dedicated to it.

Props to GGG for always providing new content, but sometimes you guys get spread too thin and try to do too much and the players end up with a boring league. I played for 3 days and i'm ready to throw in the towel on this league already. I love the 10 acts, but can not stand this league at all.

And how did something like an "orb of leagues" get missed? A new currency that lets you chance a white item for a chance to get it's gated league unique. IE... White leather belt you put a orb of leagues on and you've got a chance at getting a headhunter. No required zone to be in, no required Zana mod...just a chance at making a valuable unique with a new currency.

So many things could have been done with shards and "new" currency, but instead it's mostly shards of things that already exist.

GGG, please actually innovate for the next league.

Ok, I understand 3.0 was a big undertaking, and you're focused on that along with the XBox version. I understand, I do. And with the new 3.0, we ALL KNOW Harbinger was an afterthought. Honestly, it doesn't really matter to me what Harbinger is or could have ever been.

All I really care about is playing the 10 acts in Oriath while doing a new build and completing challenges. Heck, you could have had us all fighting giant purple Barney dinosaurs for all I care. But please, please, don't invest any more time balancing this crap or tweaking the encounters. Did you *really* get massive amount of feedback from the community that the encounters were not challenging enough? Where's that feedback, I can't find it? May be someone can link it?

Any ways, let it be and let's move on to bigger, better things. No more wasting time balancing a dismally boring league after it's already in full swing.

Still the worst league mechanics I've played so far. It feels like a another thing to fill inventory to sell more space. And this time it really sucks. Just delete it.

The A5-10 content is fantastic though.

Lots of people still can't play PoE because of constant crashes between zones and very low fps even with top pc. So, to start you should make your game playable, and then focus on other things with a lower priority

Dear GGG,

I am a casual player (probably like the average PoE player) and you will never hear me complain about the "clear-speed" of an Harbinger encounter. I am happy with your game.

I must confess it's true that the Harbingers are a bit flat compared to previous leagues' contents. But this feeling is overshadowed by the whole new content brought by 3.0 and its 6 new acts. Thanks for bringing us a game with such improvements every years... for free!
