If you find a MTX pricey and above your expectations/standards, just don't buy it.
PoE is one of the F2P games with the most expensive cosmetics, but that's the marketing strategy of the owner. Nothing to do about it, nor there's a point to open yet another thread on this topic.

Worth it. Probably one of my favourite the micro-transactions I own. I own a few others too, but none of them are as great. The marauder's Haka and the shadow's acrobats are up there as well, but they're not quite as amazing as the duelist's dance is ;^)

Anyway, back to the topic of the thread. GGG has stated many times that the majority of their income comes from the big whales spending hundreds and thousands rather than from a lot of people spending tens of dollars. Look at the people posting here, most of the supporter titles are worth like $50 minimum, and some are worth almost more than $1500 NZD. Because of that, GGG seems to pander towards them more than the people who can only afford a small amount.

If you just want to look cool without forking out hundreds, then skin transfers are by far the best way to go. They're less than a dollar each, and in a bundle they're worth like 50 cents NZ. If you only play using the same gear across multiple characters then it's definitely a more worthwhile investment over MTX sets. In my opinion the best looking uniques are significantly better than the best looking MTX sets, though that's just my opinion.

In the end, MTX isn't required to play at all, obviously everyone knows that. It's always been considered as something extra for supporting the developers, which is what it'll probably stay like forever. Sucks for some, but that's just how it is.

The real "MTX" u need to the stash tab. Seriously, with like, 1million different currency/ essence/ div card, 100 stash is the bare minimum you need if you want to store all of your items.

100 seems extremely excessive, perhaps if your playing in Perm leagues you need that many but ive got about 20 and i never fill them completely by end of league

100 Tabs is absolutely not necessary. I get by just fine with ~50 and never use all of them in a temp league.

Yeap I think it's ridiculous too as a NZ player but do what I do, I haven't really spent anything on this game in the way of MTX, just get MTX I want from leagues. You don't have to spend money, though it kind of is p2w, stash tabs to sell things is kind of a must. No one uses forum and posting things on forum is seriously a hassle. I make almost 100x more currency with 2 public stash tabs than posting a thread. Only thing I've bought + a currency tab is kind of a must otherwise say good bye to your free few stashes.

I agree that the MTX are too expensive. They add too many new ones that I think it should be a bit cheaper. But whatever it is what it is.
