GGG vs. Trading made easy

How about we take advice about gaming from hardcore players...

I laughed. I hope that was the intention.

If I was to learn mechanics and tactics of video games, sure, a hard core snowflake would be my choice. But if I ran a gaming company, that has to tend to more than just these special snowflakes, getting off of the thought of themselves being "hardcore", I would not listen to them.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Don't even kid yourself. PoE is not hardcore anymore. Most rough bullshit has been moved off and now most people can go clear T16 Maps in semi decent builds with semi decent gears. Challenges continue to be the last, very uber end content. All the other content is doable for casuals now.

Trying to push casuals with your "hardcore only im so spucial" shit isn't helping the game, or the community, or anyone relevant, only the sad little ego of the forum trolls.

Pretty easy to say that if you've been playing the game for a while with widely available guides all over. Go find somebody who's never played this game or another decent ARPG before and tell them to get to T16 on their own, it probably wouldn't happen quickly.

People don't get this. They've been playing this game for years. Know every mechanic. Every item. Every boss. Every defense. Offense. Every single node on the passive tree. They've played through the same game over and over again, for several leagues. And they still scream "game has become so soft core and casual - fuck GGG".

And a new player today, has about 10000% more information to swallow than we old-time, closed beta players had to. And we still saw it as a challenge to learn everything. Perspective.

If they have played this game for so long and know everything - and still "demands" challenges based on their level of skill and knowledge, how will new players even stand a chance? Or is the attitude: "I've spent 5 years mastering this game, they better do that to..."?

Then GO play "Diablo 3 : Return of The Unicorns" wtf are you doing in POE ?

How about we take advice about gaming from hardcore players for a change? Let the snowflakes be snoflakes

Initially, I thought you were April fooling...but looking at your history, you seem to like trying to be the antagonizing troll. After reading your "comment", I thought to myself - can someone really be that dumb?!

Maybe I did not express correctly my intentions, but I'm bashing on the guy who wants to bully on the new players and the casuals. I do support anything that makes the game easier to understand and less tedious to grasp for new players. I did have my crushing learning curves, hit my walls many times and that's why I understand how badly new players *need* some help on starting on.
Hail build Diversity,

Yes, this problem should be solved some day. And the only solution is Auction House, not another set of half-measures.

I'm casual player too, I just want to play the game without need to use million tools like Procurement, Aquisition, TradeMacro, poe.trade, poeprices.info, poe.ninja and so on. I don't want to exit a map every time when someone want to buy my stuff. I don't want to spend literally hours in order to buy some common shit and only see seller offline, AFK, in other league, simply ignoring you or trying to scam.

Just make this f.ing Auction House, like in WoW, finally!

Yeah this is incredibly fucked up even for me who has now gone a couple of years seriously in this game

I literally can't even link a skill tree in the fucking game and that doesn't make sense to me, to plan out trees and see the stats that it would give I have to go to a 3rd party planner

At least you could play the game without using the forums.
Trading is too powerful and easy as it is. You can completely skip all of the games progression and go from nothing to full BIS gear t16/shaper viable in a week of playtime and be done with the league.

There's really no way to fix the situation, they can't nerf trading because people would go insane and they can't make the game harder for trade geared characters(bis gear) because then you'd be forced to trade and end up playing the game like Diablo3 where your time is more efficiently spent playing the market than killing monsters.

Allowing the API to be accessible by everyone was a huge, huge mistake that I'm sure they greatly regret ever doing. Allowing API's publicly in general are awful, I haven't played a single game where an API for any feature being publicly usable has had a positive effect on the game.
There will never be an AH here, thank god.
