Developer Q&A - Answers Part 1

Am I the only one who wishes that GGG would stop adding new skill gems - seriously, collecting them all takes up pages of stash and when one drops I have no idea if I already have it let alone if I want to use it - it seems the old classics like frost wall & cold snap have been abandoned for waves of the new shiny that I really can't tell much difference between.

You're the only one they keep the game fresh and interesting you don't need to bank every Gem you find that's why the NPC's sell them and around your level too with the Addition of Siosa selling gems your class cannot obtain you really don't need to bank them all.

Yeah not sure when they changed it, but unless you specifically need a low level gems, there are very few drop only gems and you can now buy everything once you complete the quests as Siosa in the library sells all gems as far as I can tell (regardless of class)


So, enlighten, empower, enhance, Added chaos damage, Detonate mines, and portal as far as I can find.

Also all Vaal gems (maybe keep base type of one you are interested in if you want to vaal orb it for the chance.)

Do you guys intend to improve mystery boxes in a way that we don't end up having multiple copies of the same item? Multiple portal effects of the sae portal for example is pretty obsolete.

If we made this change, they would have to be massively more expensive than they currently are. Is this a tradeoff you would prefer?

The price is fine but useless doubles just clutter the MTX tabs way too much, especially since we can't easily unclutter them or even straight delete MTX. Just let us deal with the doubles and all is well. The announcement of MTX rework to be character bound instead of item bound sound very promising though. Hopefully the whole system get's a workover, it's what you earn your money with after all and it's been quite messy for all these years.
Also please automatically remove items from my wishlist after I buy them (the few cases where you want to be reminded of when it happens again like certain stash tabs could have a different alarm system or just be left to the user to watch out for them) and give me an indication of how many items I already own of stuff in the Shop. There's stuff I own two or three times because I either couldn't find it in my 9 pages of random MTX or forgot to remove it on an old character.

Big fan of your game, however the experience is lessened substantially because I live in South Africa and play with 180+ ping. This makes playing HC a nightmare. As well as just playing the game in general.

So, my question; what would it take for there to be a South African server? Or in general, a new server location?

Whats massively exactly? Because "massively" could mean that the price of the box goes so high that we just buy the item we want when it comes on the shop a month later because its near his price anyway w/o stupid gambles and such.

Nobody likes to waste his money getting un-reciclable dupes, even whales.

I missed the Q and A :/. But one huge burning question that needs an answer please and thank you. WHEN WILL THE INSPECT OPTION BE IMPLEMENTED? This game is fantastic, and has taken my moneys many times. The only thing that is missing is an inspect option to look at other peoples gears (and possibly skill tree maybe?) Not sure if this has already been addressed.
