But since the later two don't really exists or hold power anymore, all that is left is the "1%" in terms of wealth. But the catch is: after the "1%" upper class is being eliminated, err.. I mean socialized, the social inequality is still not solved, therefore socialism always goes after the next percent, which would be the middle class - until everyone is equally poor. The initial goal of stripping too much power from the wealthy elites, is a good goal, but socialism is a very bad strategy to do it. What needs to be done is separating politics from the influence of money (like state-church separation), without going full Cuban revolution and ending up in the gutter. Don't be fooled by this old well-meaning grampa. He might be telling you he's a "democratic socialist", but in the past his clique was fully supporting "revolutionary dictatorships" like SU, commie China, Cuba... When night falls

I have inside information from a high level republican that Trump is about to court African Americans hard. Like go into roughest places, talk with religious leaders, and promise to bring jobs, roads, factories etc. Imagine that if he gets the black vote. Kills dems narrative entirely and their chances.

(sry dont know the proper english terms) Because in the post-socialistic heaven where I live and has only ~70% GDP of AU GDP per capita, only if you are unemployed the cost of insuring you (payed by others) will be lower then $1.000 per year. The moment you are employed you will pay more than that. And god forbid you are self-employed / business owner, then the state will take away ~200 EUR per month at the very minimum, but scaling up the more income you have. (that is just health insurance, not counting "pension insurance" - both are mandatory, you cant opt-out) Even then, the insurance will not cover all your medications, a good chunk of it you'll have to additionally pay by yourself. If those numbers you cited are real, then congratulations to the Aussies. Your system is probably much less corrupt and "special-interests"-driven, so you manage to "leak" less money.
