In the video I notice in some of your videos you are using temporal chains and arctic armor. When do you start using these gems? Do you swap out flammability with temp chains for better suitability? When do you start using arctic armor?

Those were the auras I used in Essence league roughly 6 months so I no longer use those auras, I mainly just left the video there to show how to use the skill mechanically. My current setup is described in the guide and you can also view my character ThisIsAnOrb to see what gems am testing if any.

Followup questions:

I never gotten Vaal Pact. When Do you usually get it? I assuming when you hit MERC between level 60-70.

I read in the forum that someone combo'd Vaal Spark. Did you know what forum post this was in or what gem combination that person had with Vaal Spark?

If I were to combin Vaal Spark maybe something like:

Vaal Spark + Increased Duration/Controlled Destruction + Increased Crit Strikes/Pierce + Faster Projectiles

I put multiple gems in because I am honestly unsure how you could manage this into the build unless you get a really good chest piece?

I would get it sometime before tier 3 maps, or whenever you feel like potions are not enough.

I have not seen this combination, but you can use any spell with vaal spark in order to get vaal souls, however, it does not really make sense to me to use magma orb for that since it does no lightning damage(so no Call of the Brotherhood conversion) and would waste two jewel sockets to get multiple projectiles. I feel like normal spark is better for this.

If you mean vaal spark as a secondary damage burst four link instead of the main skill, I personally would use: Vaal Spark + SPELL ECHO(adds 100 projectiles) + Faster Projectiles + Controlled Destruction
This setup seems best to me since I have no crit or pierce chance in the tree and it would not be worth investing in it just for vaal spark. On another note I scale a lot of fire damage and AOE in the tree which also does not apply to vaal spark so maybe consider using vaal fireball or vaal righteous fire instead. If you have a lot of currency maybe try and put this vaal setup in a helm with 30% more elemental damage(crafted with an essence).

Using this vaal setup would make it so you cannot use Kaoms and use Belly of the Beast instead for extra gem sockets. However you will see a notable drop in HP, your choice.

I was looking at some other variations for this build and seen the essence worm with the build. I tried using a poe planner do see how much mana would be reserved (Global 140%). And with my current gear I would only have 67 Mana pool. I feel like I might have done a calculation wrong! If anyone could help that would be great.

I am not sure I quite understand your question. What aura are you putting in Essence Worm? What other auras are you trying to run? Do you have any other reduced reserved percentages on gear or in your tree? I recommend using this https://poe.mikelat.com/ to help calculate it.

Why is the magma orb linked to pierce ??

the wikki say : pierce has no effect as the orb does not interact with enemies itself, and only ever contacts the ground or walls.

I needed a green socket for the Slower Projectile switch against bosses and Piece has a nice more multiplier. I used to use Lesser Multiple Projectiles in that socket, but that gem is no longer needed because of the threshold jewel.

Hey just a few questions. With templar + witch aoe + slower proj, how many times does a single orb hit a boss in general? (i know it depends on boss size but how about shaper for example). Also is this why u dont use conc effect, as it reduces the amount of times a single orb hits an enemy? Thanks in advance

I dont know the exact amount but usually 2-3 times, and more or less depending on size. I don't run conc effect because yes it would shrink the aoe, but also the blue gems in the 6l and 5l are better then it because there downsides are not too big a deal.
