You guys have any advice for me? I just got into tier 14 maps, and have been having trouble with bosses. Can't seem to do Hall of Grandmasters either, thought this was a build that didn't really have any trouble doing it. Here's my build so far:

https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Zenog3/characters

What gear should I upgrade first? Is it worth it going for a second quill rain if it's only 5-linked? Any gems that get a big boost from quality? Been having a lot of fun so far, guide is great.

The most important thing to do in hall of masters is to use GMP, throw out less duration and use empower 3+ instead. See my video how to actually clear for reference: https://youtu.be/VSIV_3DlUcM

This map is hard and you have to take every advantage you can. Use the walls to your advantage! You can try to get Winds of change and get the flask of the wise oak. But remember to balance your resists accordingly! I would also try to never use two toned boots, as boot enchants can be pretty good and generally better than resists.

On the tree in the Marauder area get the jewel socket. And the Jewel socket in the Scion area is also a good one.

Then the small things: You can divine the chest and get a good roll for the belt.

Try to get at least 1 6 link for single target.

EDIT: What I meant try to use 1 6 link for single target and a 5 link for clearing. You can specialize gems for different applications that way. Now you have 1 6 link, that is fine. But it's not ideal for boss kills, and those are the most important really. And try to get the +1 to arrows if possible. I would do it on a rare quiver tho. Overall I think a rare quiver is better as it gives more stats and it may even be cheaper.

Well, I like your Build but got a important question.. how do you deal with the low hit rate? I only have a chance of 72% to hit in a Tier 6 map.. i am feeling like 30% in tier 10
I really love this build.
Any advice for me?
Just grabbed those fancy two toned boots because they were cheap for like 2ex.

And I bought those gloves for like 4 ex. Guess those 4 ex wasn't worth it or?

Please help me improve a lot because this will be my only league build I guess :D

Thats my other gear:

And I have this left:

Thanks in advance.

i feel kinda scammed because:
lvl 93
8008k life
2 opal rings (1 with fire damage)
6L quill rain with lvl21 explosive arrow, lvl21 conc effect, 23%Q fire pen and lesser duration
and just changed almost entirely tree to set up grand spectrum and i dont feel a damage change worthy to the 12x grand spectrum i bought, i feel really bad.

Think that is normal. When clearing packs that should not be a problem. If you don't hit the 1st mob in the pack you will hit the second, and so on. If nothing else the arrow will hit the wall.

With bosses it's a bit different, however I didn't find it problematic since we attack at a very fast rate. IYou can try get accuracy on gear, but I didn't find it necessary.

I generally don't recommend using two toned boots as you can't enchant them without loosing the implicit. The enchants are generally more valuable than resists, that you can get elsewhere. But it's not the worst. They do in fact have a lot of resist.

The gripped gloves are not that good either. The implicit here does NOT help ea. Notice it says "projectile attack damage". :( The keyword here being attack. We only deal like a 100 dps on the attack part. Our damage part is the explosion.

Now the gloves are awesome! Unfortunately not for EA tho. You can re sell them or keep them. It's up to you. Just know that the implicit doesn't help EA.

use the +1 arrow quiver for single target and the 6 link quill rain. Make it RRGGBB you can see links somewhere in the thread.

You should have at least 170% increased damage compared to a normal set up with 12 Viridian gs jewels. So damage must be higher overall. For normal clearing you may not see the difference since you 1 shot everything. You can only really see the difference on T16 bosses.

Overall your setup sounds pretty sweet! You can try and play with the ascendancy nodes now. In the end I went for the Mastermind of discord, since I used prolif gem instead of Beacon of ruin. Now the prolif gem will reduce your damage, but that only shows in t16 maps and boss ads. And you get sweet penetration and occasional 100% increase of damage.

In the end I think you did very well, grats!

So I should go back to the "Winds of Change"?
Guess I could sell them for like 4-5ex.

Should I look for a rare quiver like in your guide for bosses?
Should it have life, 2-3 resistances and fire damage leeched as life as implicit?

I guess that I will use a 5 link quill rain for AOE and drop the Less Duration or should I aim for another 6 link?

The gloves are good, they give attack speed, resist and life, but not damage. Test it out see how it feels. Maybe best if u go back to winds. But you will loose the resists. In the end it's up to you.

Same with boots. I would almost never use the two toned boots, unless if I can't get enough resist on other gear.

For quivers you need 2x rare quiver or 2x Rearguard. I also used 2x rearguard and later on switched to 2 rare quivers when I got +1 to arrows on a rare. The fire damage leech is ok to have but is barely useful. Don't feel like you need that. If you get it fine, if u don't, than that's just fine as well.

Overall it depends on how far you want to take it. But of course 6 link is the best. :) And yeah if you can live without less duration it is a great idea to drop it. But not everyone is willing to play without it. Try, see how it feels.

The +1 to arrows quiver is to be used for bosses for easier targeting (2 arrows for boss).

Hey Groove, do you think its worth grabbing mastermind of discord over beacon of ruin if I invest on both witch and templar aoe nodes? I'm thinking that since we do enough AoE coupled with GMP/LMP, it will be enough to apply the ignites on monster packs.

I think you can probably live without investing too much into AOE. Get some if it's near to your tree's pathing. You can even try the AOE gem or the Prolif gem. See how it feels. If you get Shaper's ruby flask that may also help.

One thing is sure. Mastermind of discord will give more damage overall if you proc it correctly.

I will buy another 6-Link Quill Rain today.
Is it worth to vaal the other gems expect EA?
