Hey man, im new to poe and im loving this build, i have a question which might seeem stupid but what exactly points do i max in her ascendancy?


Start with Beacon of Ruin, then Liege of Primordial and last Pendulum of Destruction.

This is a burn based build which absolutely needs Beacon of Ruin to spread Ignite for fast clearing.

You are looking for a chaos explosion based build which uses an Obliteration wand, something like this one: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1617379

It clears even faster thx to bigger explosions but has trouble on boss fights because it misses a hard hitting ignite.

All in all i think this burn based build is the better choice because of ignite and curses are only 60% effective against bosses.

Btw you can go CI if you want but gear becomes rather expensive then. I went for a mix and have 5k life and 3.2k shield atm just with some small changes. Its nearly as good as CI but way cheaper.
Played this to lvl 86 now and I really like this build. My gear is pretty garbage (most of it is self-found, none was more than 3c) and all maps are on farm status. Just standard yellow tier maps -> alch and go, no need to reroll anything. Unid map dropped -> just put it into your map device. The only annoying mod is status ailment resistance for mobs, but as long as it is not full immunity, I still clear pretty fast. The only bosses I cannot oneshot are Arid Lake/Bog when on full enrage and Barrows for some reason, everything else dies. Have done double Piety Malformation, double Excavation, double Voidwalker thing in Temple, double Orchard boss, no problem at all. I did vary a bit on the skill tree tho and took Elemental Equilibrium. For general mobbing, you won't notice the extra fire res and for tanky rares and bosses I drop Orb of Storms linked with Increased Crit Strikes and Curse On Hit Flammability. Free -50% fire res and that's not even accounting for the curse, thank you very much. The burn does not re-apply EE, so once your OoS hits a burning mob, it burns with -50% fire res until you cast another DD.

I dont think that EE fits well in this build, it means you need to recast Orb of Storms alot to make it any useful.

Since Flammability is most important i am using it with Blasphemy, its the best way to spread the curse all the time.

Orbs of Storm does low damage and is kind of a melee skill (cant be cast at range). Therefore i am using it as a defence skill only with cast on hit Enfeeble and Temporal Chains.

I only cast Orb of Storms on bosses or rares that aren't dead to a single DD and its damage doesn't matter at all. I just use it to proc EE and cast Flammability. I use Temp Chains as my Blasphemy curse, I just find it more important.

Anyway, I just died to Frost Bearers, because I didn't realize the animation. RIP.

-> Detonate dead - Chance to Ignite - Inc AoE - Fire Pen + CoE/Inc burn Dmg)
-> Desecreate - Faster Casting + (dont know right now ?)
-> Temp Chains + Enfeeble - Blasphemy (maybe Flammability later if I shoot for tripple curse dunno yet)
- Others Leap Slam - Faster Attacks - Fortify
- Flame Golem + - Enduring Cry + Vaal Summon Skeletons + Inc Dur
- Vaal Haste + Vaal Discipline or Double Vaal Disc (planning to use 2 unset rings)
- Cwdt -Immo Call - Inc Dur + (Molten Shell/Vortex whatever)
- Decoy Totem - Inc Dur - Inc AoE - Faster Casting

Absolutely useless supports for DT. IT's radius is insane on it's own and duration is huge, just as cast speed. Single support for Decoy Totem I would use is Minion Life and ONLY if Totem dies too often.

I love TC + Enfeeble curse setup.

I think you don't need Enduring Cry at all as DD char. You can slam Vaal Haste + Vaal Disc here instead of Flame Golem and End Cry, so all supports will benefit from Inc Dura in this scenario. Flame Golem can go to other socket.

Vortex is great for CWDT. If you don't have armour and armour nodes, Molten Shell won't do much for you. Unless it actually has decent damage given you take a lot of fire damage / burn nodes (didn't seen your tree).

Leap slam? It's so clunky to use. Best movement skill is probably shield charge at this point. But you can just get decent dagger and use classic Whirling Blade + Faster Attacks + Fortify setup for movement. Or use Flame dash + Faster Casting.

I am not sure whether Inc Dura even worth it in CWDT setup. Give it prolongs phys immune for like extra 0.3 seconds (base is 0.4 seconds).

You can also reserve some more mana with Arctic armour or Discipline + Enlighten and maybe some reduced mana cost nodes on the tree :P

Wait, you don't use Orb of Storms for that nodes that gives MORE damage if you crit?... :o it's great node, it also can trigger Elemental Equilibrium for EVEN MORE Damage...what's your excuse for abandoning it? :o

Add int Taunty Taunty golem can help as well :P It can replace Decoy totem which needs manual cast

I use CWDT (max level) - Stone Golem in my setup. So i don't need to ever cast it ^ But I suck at building builds, because I always want something non-meta, so you might as well just ignore whole post Q_q *Sigh*

Maybe I'm doing something terribly wrong, but my single target damage with this build feels worse than Split Arrow and after 20 tries or so, I'm about to give up on Merciless Lab at level 78.

Running a 4-linked DD/Chance to Ignite/Fire Pen/Inc AoE for packs and Conc Effect for bosses. Desecrate is level 17 or so, high enough to produce adequate bodies in Merc Labyrinth. But I barely scratch Izaro and all the casting for Desecrate and DD leaves me stationary and an easy target for his burst.

I'm also having big problems with map bosses that don't have purple or blue adds. It's just painfully slow. The regular clear speed is great, but it doesn't matter if I get rekt by bosses.
Turns out I did something terribly wrong, namely play with an underleveled DD gem. What a difference a few levels can make from 15-20.

OP actually created a really nice build here, don't let my nooby whining distract you from that and try it out if you want, it works!

Could someone please tell me why Orb of Storms is linked to Desecrate in this build? Or is this not necessary?
