Yeah, maybe. Seemed pretty harsh at the beginning with just 20 skulls, but maybe dps increase was enough to make for it. Problem is now to drop spell echo or not to drop.

Edit: Spell Echo still necessary from my observations.

anyone started this in 2.5? any changes in tree? i'm new to SRS and was wondering if the reduction to 20 is a buff or a nerf .

Your build is pretty awesome.
I am playing ci srs for some ladders now (also got my own guide) but in 2.6 I started your build. I am 75 now and did not even die in legacy normal :D

I made some customizations, you might think about:
- I dropped the res + jeweel nodes, to get 20 dex and another jewel node
- I picked up EE and added arc to the gems (might use spelltotem too, but there is little room for that)
- also I might drop 3 duration nodes, but I am not sure about this..
- planned tree: www.poeurl.com/90f (also changed 5% life to 4%life and 12% armor)
- dropped flamedash: this build has enough speed, and I needed an arc slot

Did you try:
- a belly of the beast?
- "the covenant.." robe? Would be an effective 8 link, with sword + shield
