But also: controlled destruction because it's a massive damage boost. You lose out on about 5% crit but I don't think it matters at all.

My ES is roughly 9.1k. Could be higher with ES craft on the ring and also using a shield over the second wand. Can also put more ES nodes on the tree. But I'm on SC so I haven't focused too much on that.

Cospri's possibly, but you'd have to get either 5 or 6 off colour which is probably near impossible (socket in added cold or something). Is it worth it? I'm not entirely sure and you lose out on a lot of Energy Shield. Which then means playing a Life build and I feel you would struggle to build enough defences.

Beast Fur Shawl might be a useful as a cheaper alternative.

Void Battery is an interesting thought but I've never actually used them before so I've no idea how they play. Seems like they'd be nice but no idea on their DPS output.

They are pretty good, but Im sure you can get better rare wands, they are definantly best dual wielded since 9x power charges is 225% spell damage per wand so 450 minus the reduced 80%x2 160%. so 290% spell damage for 2 wands, 20% cast speed and 100% spell crit (because 50% per wand + 50% each pcharge) for each wand.
If you watch the indexer a bit Im sure you can find cheaper rares that does almost the same job - voids are 6ex each after all.

Their only downside is you need to maintain your pcharges 100% or you will lose out on the spell damage bonus. So power charge on crit gem/skyforth/volls chest/occultists forbidden power is a must.

Yea I know about Cospri's - I hope one day they introduce other ways of countering hexproof map mods so I can make a low life occultist with 5 curses, discipline and all that other good stuff. There is some really cool options for those kinds of builds if you are really lucky with corrupted amulets:

1. why do you use cold to fire in this build and not, let say, conc effect? What purpose does cold to fire do?

2. how do you dual course when you dont have a dual curse setup on tree or on gear. how does it work.
Im guessing its ranged based, so you get your assassins mark on mobs far away while all mobs close to you are cursed with warlords mark (this is a question for a non skyforth user), am I correct?

Late reply because I lost interest in PoE so never checked on the thread. Either way.

1. It's just nice extra damage. The problem with Conc effect is that you become mostly single target based (swap conc for bosses) but regularly clearing with conc slows you down a lot.

2. I don't currently dual curse since I have Skyforth. Otherwise without it I would pick up Whispers of Doom from the tree. You could also run the curse boots or ring. Windscream actually probably isn't terrible to be fair.

So 2.4 brings a nerf to Elementalist, pretty much removing the Conflux buff. Pretty sad but I guess it had to be done.

Build should still be fine, you'll just lose some DPS from less shock and burn and all that.

I have Skyforth. If you don't have them then you need to run Assassin's Mark Curse on Hit
