Hardcore lvl 87 - Mullet's EK Tanky Mofo Guide [REVISED...AGAIN] - now with conduit

Very good build, tried a couple of builds on HC and either died(bad gear/desync/brutus, vaal etc), or got extremely bored with them(ex melee mara). With this badass witch im lvl 62 on merciless act 2 atm, didnt got this far with any other char. Gameplay is fun, but you should probably run with zombies with you, in really problematic situations/boss fights cast your skelly totem. My HP balances around 3.5/4k atm, this depends if i use more offensive equipment(like magnate and some others when grinding/farming) or more hp gear. Resists are capped with purity, will eventually dump it and run determination when i get the rest of the big res nodes. Chaos res is around -20, still gona work on it tho. My armor is ass, because i use a 5L lvl 35 plate with mediocre rolls on it, but i need the sockets, will change it to some good plate when i finally find/buy it, till then i cast molten shell when mobs are getting to close and have around 45% reduction. Still experimenting with support gems for EK, looking for the best option. So all in all, really enjoying this build. The only downsides of this build for me are, no surprise - the reflect packs, but if you dont rush like idiot and knife all around and off screen, this is no problem. The second is the cast speed, but i dont have any cast speed on gear and im not using faster casting support as for now, so i will work to get it as soon as possible. Thanks Mullet :)
After you get the 2 big +30dex nodes, is the only way to raise dex is through gear? I am always worried about levelling gems through dex gear in any case of gear replacement.

Yea i skipped all of the cast speed nodes in favour of hp/ armour etc.
So you do want to get some on your gear, at the very least on your weapon.

Only through gear im afraid, you usually need 2 pieces + a 20 onyx, if you want to level bear traps/ grace fully.

I think its 151 dex needed for a level 20 bear trap.

HI, Thanks for posting your build :) I have been using it for a while now only 45-46 in act 2 almost act 3 and it's great. I noticed you mentioned chain? at what point did you start using that? and is it more or less a swapping type thing for pys reflect mobs? thanks again :)

i started using chain when i got my 5L.....at lvl 85 lol

I just leave it in...been testing fork too

Im starting to prefer fork tbh, because its less mana intensive, therefore i can swap out mana leech for faster projectiles.

Yeah you can't respec, I'm just giving a different approach. The build I'm talking about is below. I can see going into the Templar tree for the shield nodes if you know you are getting a lioneyes but a hybrid shield with my build works to your advantage. Also I had 2.2k dps with chain and no dmg talents :(. The kill speed without chain isn't as fast but if you are just trying to stay alive I guess it doesn't really matter which direction you go. Both accomplish the same thing just different styles.

Build

Anyone managed to get Lachis' build? I want to see what's his version is like but the build link seems to be broken or missing all the skill points.

its pretty much the same as the one on exilepro.com

A short video would be nice where we can see how this gameplay looks like :)
Thanks for the exilepro link. Yeah, it is quite similar. I guess the biggest difference would be the usage of shield and much bigger passive resistances. So Tanky's build is easier on the gear and you can focus on finding Chaos Resistances. IR/Stance build requires you to have lots of resistance in the gear.
