Yes, expectations about the sword were high and yes, it could be better but it is what it is, and we can't change it. That doesn't mean you can't make something good with it.

The selling points of this sword in my opinion are blind and several ailment immunities, all while being a cheap 6l that allows wearing a better chest than Tabula, but in return narrows down build possibilities. Luckily, Blind synergizes well with evasion and can make up for the loss of a shield, and luckily evasion is prevalent on the crit side of the passive tree.

I'm sure there are more build possibilities than this one, but it's what i wanted to try and it worked surprisingly well, above my expectations infact. A good balance of survivability and damage at an extremely low budget - the whole build costs less than most unique 6l chests comparable builds use, and that's with my jewels and flasks included.

well i cant disagree with simplesim, but expecting alot of out GGG was just wishful thinking,
anyway i was hoping to somewhat combine my righteous fire toon using magma orb or molten strike
but im theory crafting 2 different builds
1: CoC
- life leech
- charges
- clear speed
- good dps

2: righteous fire
- sustains her blessing
- lots of hp
- damage from RF (the skill itself and the spell dmg boost)


both builds can use auras its just a natter of defensive strategy, with CoC i have dodge and evasion and life leech, with RF i have armor and HP. . .theres got to be more to it than this though. . .

Out of those two builds i'd go with CoC, RF will be nearly impossible to sustain. You will burn for RF + Her Blessing while you can't wear RotP or a shield/staff with leo mod.
If you don't want to go the phys spell route, Ice/Shock Nova + Arc may work. Lots of possibilities there, either building an EE chain for maximum damage output, Anger for constant blind procs or even AoF + Cold to Fire + CotB.

Another idea i had was going CI with a high Ev+ES chest, Heretics Veil and Enfeeble+Ass Mark. Would obviously miss alot of ES from shield and about 200-300 compared to a top Vaal Regalia, but should still give a higher hitpool than lifebased and even less probability to get hit thanks to Enfeeble.
Status ailments, aside from shock are also no problem thanks to Cyclone and TGU.
Haven't made a tree for this, but if you're interested in trying that, we could work something out together.

I wanted to craft this sword and I did it.
Than I looked for a build and the only one I could find is this one. And it rocks. Really. Its fun to play and it is all in all very good.

Only concern I had: to kill Izaro without the ascendency class. :) That was hard work.

So: thx for this build and the opportunity to use TGU.

i dont want to say CoC wont work, cuz it will, i just feel like everyone uses CoC in some way that its everywhere. . . .but im trying to bring my experience from my RF toon into this somehow, i know stacking armour is worthless, but i like CI and the ES thing. i know i could sustain righteous fire with a pure ES build. . .


if we use CI we wont hardly burn from our max life cuz max life becomes 1, now if we had a massive ES, we would only burn for 70% of that, and if we're stacking fire res anyway for her blessing then that may also help preventing RF, i think i can make it work RotP only gave us 4% max res but id use PoF to make up for that anyway, and RF toons usually have a ton of life regen anyway, i think i can sustain it if i used that jewel. . .



so life regen applies to ES, and boom there we go, just need to figure out the gear and done, and since im sorta combining the witch and marauder tree, id use:
molten strike > faster attacks > melee phys > wep elemental dmg > added fire dmg > and anything else to boost dps
but the gems still need work. . .as for the gear. . .not shavs since we CI, maybe . . .?



notable uniques:
- ring - the pariah (100 to max ES when socketed with a blue gem)
- ring - Shavronne's Revelation (Right ring slot: You cannot Regenerate Mana
Right ring slot: 3% of Energy Shield Regenerated per second)
- ring - voideye (+5 to level of socketed gem)

i think the top 2 rings will give us a fat ES boost, voideye was just to secure any gaps in anything we'd be missing like res or whatever

the vertex with . . .


should give us a healthy boost, enlighten benefits from the item and empower, so i was thinking of adding a discipline and vitality (we will use zealots oath so dont worry)

i have a lvl 88 or 90 toon i can use to configure the skilltree should be very easy once i can sustain RF, no idea about ascendancy yet, also going to look at some ES based RF builds to see how they compare. I just dont want to succumb to CoC just yet. . .and i like how RF deals fire dmg to us and our enemies while her blessing also keeps us aflame. . .its like a burning martyr build

if its discovered that grabbing spell nodes is more efficient than phys dmg, i may breathe life back into incinerate. . . maybe and thats a far cry since incinerate was nerfed to oblivion. . .

@PleaseMasterMakeMeScream: I can understand your sentiment about CoC, i also never really was a fan of it. This is infact my first CoC build ever.

Unfortunately, your idea has one major flaw: RF can't be used with CI. So you have to go LL, which in return could let you stack Disc, PoF and two/three curses with Heretics Veil.
With a fully buffed Lv23 PoF and no RotP, you would burn for ~13% from RF and another 6% from Her Blessing. So you need Shavs Rev, Shapers Seed, Vitality and get all life regen in the upper part of the passive tree, maybe also some from Marauder. But it could be done.

Another issue is RF doesn't count as igniting an enemy, so you will have to find another way.

ive edited that post multiple times for some reason it didnt update, and yeah most likely would be LL with RF, oh well. with all the gear and a shavs id be pretty sweet

someone also bought up starting from the marauder tree and going as much "increased phys dmg" as possible . . .might look into that
