(2.4) Way of the Grand Spectrum X10 (Wild Strike Elementalist) HC Essence League
Loving this build. Saving up currently to buy some grand spectrums. Super expensive. I found using a rebuke of the vaal and a hayons fury is super effective. I couldn't find any swords with higher dps for my build. Thanks a ton though, this is some of the most fun I've had in POE.

Hello ThexMasterr,
I personally think that Hyaon's Fury is a little bit gimping this build. Everything is about "all elemental damage" and there is a reason why it's not about only "lightning damage".
With Hyaon's Fury you have high tooltip dps, but I find it only good when you are proccing the chain lightning effect. The other effects are significantly lower in damage as far as I can tell.
But I found that I don't even need a shield with this.
I'm using Daresso's chest armour, I have around 50% dodge for spells and attacks, and I'm goin' with a 2hander.

I'm currently lvl 91 without a single grand spectrum (1.2ex mini...) and it works very fine. I'm doing t14 quite easily and even t15, mono targeting works but it's a bit slow.
I would recommend a claw life gain on hit to be more tanky (like this one).
I think I will remove vortex blade to take a more usefull skill (elemental overload proc without vortex blade), but I can't find a good one. Maybe frenzy to keep frenzy charges in group.

Using a two hand elemental weapon for sure works. Thing is the slow attack speed on them makes them scale elemental damage on rings, amulet, gloves, gems less effectively.
Same thing with Hyaon's fury. It's a powerful weapon but lack attack speed.

So I am maybe just misunderstanding the way wild strike works, but can you please explain how Hayon's gimps the build based on that fact it only does lightning? The wild strike effect only scales off the physical damage anyway correct? The "60% of physical damage converted to fire, cold, or lightning damage" part of the skill? I may be way misreading it, but would not SIMPLY having high elemental damage of any type such as hayon's make it more powerful anyway? Thanks for any explanation!

The conversion applies only to physical damage with is almost nothing with this build so it does not matter what elemental damage you use. Hayon's fury is a strong choice, but a rare claw or sword with 300 eDps and 2.0 attack speed is superior. The elemental damage you get from other sources is more effective.

I'm level 87 right now, without any grand spectrums (yeah, they are quite expensive, especially if you need 10 :) and I do 8 attacks / second, fully buffed.
I find this very satisfying and I'm not experiencing any problems with my attack speed being too slow. But I understand your argument about the "added dmg is not scaling as well".
I haven't done anything above T10 yet, got a bit fed up with PoE so played other games, maybe this is why I feel it so powerful? After T13 it'll get worse? Right now I'm annihilating anything below T10, without any problems. Got 4300 hp and 48/46% dodge while standing at my hideout. Using only Silver + Quartz flasks for defense and just recently added Vaal Grace into the build with Inc. Duration Support so that'll cap out my dodge for like ~10 seconds and make the character even more tankier.
EDIT: I have 61K dps fully buffed... I can only imagine what could this do with 10 Grands. :)

Oh, very interesting! Thank you for your input. I might look into buying some high tier claw as it is a weapon type I have literally never used. Once again, thanks a ton for putting together this build, its the most unique one I have ever played.
